Hello my people, how much longer do i have to wait? My ECAS status is as beloe:

We received your application for permanent residence on October 21, 2009.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on December 21, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the Accra office. They are pending review.

We transferred your application to the Accra office on December 29, 2009. The Accra office may contact you.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on November 11, 2010.

i sent a case specific enquiry on March 28 and i got a standard reply stating - Be assured your application is in queue for review.

This is contrary to the ECAS status which states my application has been reviewed and they have started processing. What does all this mean and how much longer do i wait for meds?

Honestly this is a bit strange to me. I thought by now the last set of the 2009 must have been cleared. Please what’s your NOC and your other information to enable us advise ASAP but am a bit worried.
However, the rule of the game is patience and one has to possess a very large quantity of same. Give them a little time and do a mail again…am sure your case might be like that of iii, they may just be waiting for that wonderful mail!

Thanks for your quick response. My NOC is 0111 although my experience spans 0111, 0112, and 0122. Also accra requested for additional documents in October last year and this was dispatched immediately by DHL. It was after this that my ECAS status changed to in-process in November 2010

Kpopi77 and all

This is just my opinion.

I feel that the NOC that were removed from the 38 list (and not included in the recent 29) will be processed as a sub-priority to the current 29 in demand NOC.

The reason I say this, and I am NOC 0111 myself, is that many applicants waiting for MR from 2009 and 2010 fall into this category. An example is Kpopi77, Jada and a host of others. All we can do is wait patiently for the MR to come through the post. Though it may tarry, it will surely come.

Peace!!!

My people,
i sent an email to Accra last night to enquire about the status of my application, i reminded them that i received second aor in October and am yet to hear from them since and they promptly replied me this morning with the usual generic response please find below;

Dear Sir,

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

Your file is currently in queue to be paper-screened by an officer. Once this screening takes place, you will be contacted with regards to the next steps in the processing of your application.

Thank you for cooperation and for your interest in immigrating to Canada.

Regards,

Its obvious the processing time has increased significantly but what can one do but to exercise patience and get occupied until Accra say they are ready.

That said, i want to use this medium to urge my people to please go out and vote. This is not the time to sleep all day on Saturday and behave as if it is a public holiday, it is not rather it is a date to vote and defend your vote. Some persons says they will only vote during governorship/presidential election but i want to let us all know that the NASS election is equally very important if not more important than any other election. We have to be mindful of the caliber of persons that makes laws in this land, the Constitution has given them so much power and only sane persons can use that power well.

By the grace of God the elections will come and go in peace, it will be credible, free, fair and transparent all we need to do is to play our individual and collective part to make it a success.

Cheers

My Naija people,

Make una calm down! This process dey tay!! and as one of my aged broda been tell me, " a watched kettle never boils".

I done dey this CIC business since 2007, I don dey pray say I no go dey Naija for 2011 election. Hmm, but here I am. 48 months and still counting.

I don't want to sound pessimistic about Naijia but anybody wey get opportunity make he face Canada. We too much for Naija and govt no serious at all. I dey pray make better comot for this election, make e no be say confusion break bone.

We get more than 100million people dey live for poverty and our youths go being dey procreate like rabbit, wetin be the plan for them?
The recipe for katakata too much.

Make una no lose hope she both for Naija and for CIC.
