Emperor, yes you can apply on your own, you have to wait till about May, to know if there are any changes to the NOC list. I strongly advice that you retrieve your documents, believing that the consultant will co-operate in that regard. If he doesn't, then you have to arrange fresh documents. BTW, what have you submitted so far?. Again, I have a strong feeling that you will soon hear from Accra, based on your 2005 application, it is over 5 years now, and you can make an effort to enquire about the status of the application. You have your AOR for that application, what processing time was indicated?.

Naija Pikin,

The processing time on my AOR was two years when I received it in year 2005 and whenever I check my status it is showing "IN PROCESS". Last year I wrote Accra a mail to know how far with my application but got a reply that they are processing June 2004 applications and cannot confirm the timeline when mine (August 2005) will be handled. As part of this new application, I have done IELTS exam thought of sending the result to Accra to update my 2005 application. What is your view on that?

Regards

@ Naija Pikin,

The documents I have submitted are my transcripts and that of my spouse.

Congratulations to all on an obviously successful meeting on Saturday. I feel cheated out of it. I didn't attend because I feel I have very little inputs & timelines but I guess I can start networking with the right Canadian contacts even while still in Naiaj. I always follow the forum & I enjoy the comedy & valuable inputs. I hope to be a part of d next meeting if d Pa's & babes(ma's) will have me.

Really apprecite the love & warmth & glad to know that it even trancends beyond the forum & faceless aliases into physical love & real faces.

Kudos.

Smallie, you are welcome and look forward to seeing you in May by his grace. We are one and as such are binded by a common purpose(canada).Feel free to join in any discussion 247 and also asn questns bothering on your application. We are one big family.Ig

@ Naija Pikin,

The documents I have submitted are my transcripts and that of my spouse.

1.You can still get another set of transcripts, it will even be easier now, as your files would still be fresh at the exams and records office. You still would be required to submit it for the 2005 application.

2.You do not have to send your IELTS results for the 2005 application, until the visa office requests for it and other additional documents.

3. I had also applied in 2007, and my status for that also reads, IN PROCESS. In my AOR then, the processing time was 56-60 months.

4. You can still make it this year, in the next cap, if by the grace of GOD, the 1122 is retained. My concern is that you need not go through a consultant. You can do it yourself, all the information required in the application forms can only be supplied by you, as well as all the required documents. The consultant would only copy all the information you provided, package all the documents you went through all the wahala alone to gather, and then submit to CIO(remember you will still pay the courier fee to send the package to him in the same Canada), BIG DEAL!!!!.

5. While you continue to gather your documents preparatory to July 2011, be on the look out, you could be contacted by Accra anytime soon, and this same documents would then come in handy.

I wish you all the best.
