Dear Colleagues,
I am a pre-june 2010 applicant. I received the MR for my twins from Accra yesterday.
You may be wondering that i did not mention my own MR.

Let me tell you what transpires as thus:

I received the MR for myself and wife in June 2012, i only did my own medical test in first week of July 2012, and my wife could not do her own because she was pregnant. I sent a letter to Accra requesting for the deferment of my wife medical test till after she gives birth. Accra responded to my letter, and told me to notify them immediately my wife gives birth, and I should equally send them some required documents (photocopy of Baby Birth Certificate issued by Government, photocopy of Baby International passport, 4 passport-sized photos of the newly born baby, Payment of the Application for Permanent Residence Fee for the newly born baby, An updated IRPA application for me and my spouse. An application includes the Application for Permanent Residence in Canada [IMM 0008], the Schedule A: Background/Declaration [IMM 0008 SCHEDULE A] and the Additional Family Information form [IMM 5406] ).

My wife gave birth to twins in November, 2012.

In December my wife did her own medical test; in the same month i sent a package to Accra. The contents of the package include letter of notification on the arrival of the twins, and also all the required documents (Already mentioned above) by Accra.

It is with tears in my heart and gratitude to the almighty God do I announced the arrival of passport request from Accra visa office this morning after 39 months of processing time.
My heart goes to COMPUTERGEEK for all your encouragement during my trying times on this journey.May the Lord bless you.

Hello All

I have been processing my document with the Accra office and i have not been asked to send my passport for visa.
Please find my full time below

Applied in Feb 2010
Recieved request for documents on 27th October 2010
Sent Documents February 1st 2011
Received request for Medicals April 30th 2012 and instruction to pay Right of Permanent Residence Fee
Did medicals and sent payment May 30th 2012
Received email to send passport for visa 13th Jan 2013
Sent Passport via Fedex 16th of January with return enveloped included
Passports landed and delivered 17th of Jan 2013

Please can someone give me an estimated time on when my passport will be returned?

Congrats on the reciept of ur PR.

The truth is no one can really tell u how long it will take to get ur passport back.

A family I know in Benin got their passports stamped within 6weeks using courier plus.

Once the passports get to accra, its not surposed to take more than 2 weeks to return them to the courier. When it gets to them, no one can really say when they will stamp it and return, they take their time.
Don't worry it will come soon. How every if u wait for abt 3weeks and u have not still heard frm them, then u could send them a polite mail requesting for the status of ur passport.
