At least, what I experience now Ontario and BC are not welcoming provinces in Canada:
Training / education: I agree
Job and career prospect: depending
Living: Vancouver and Toronto are expensive. But less than Hong Kong
Neighbour: discrimination is worst in small cities
Tax: I agree
Law: I agree and policeman doesn't always follow the law

But, I still want to try to live in other parts of Canada such as the Atlantic provinces and Alberta.

1 - Was coming to Canada a good thing or a bad thing in your life, overall? Or mix of both?

All changes will have an impact, but change favours the prepared mind. I was prepared and it has worked out good for me.

2 - Do you find that Canadians are welcoming of immigrants in general, or are they xenophobic or rude to immigrants?

So far be it native canadian or any immigrated citizens (Asians) they are welcomming. Never had a bad exprience atleast in front of me.... and always remember it's "Give and Take" not "Take and Give". I gave them warm smile and wishes and i got it back.

3 - What do you miss most about your home country? What do you like best about Canada?

Miss my friends and roots.

4 - Where are you from (country or at least continent)?
