smoothie- trinidad emailed back and said due to the privacy act they can not release infomation regarding our meds. they forwared our email to kg. mp was rather short when i called to follow up friday. she said she heard nothing. im suspicious and wonder if an email was even sent. she placed me on hold and sent them "another email." She told me my question was"loaded" when i ask if she has ever sent an email to kG and been ignored. its a simple yes or no. so im ot sure what her issue is. the wait continues and i will not send anymore inquiries to kg. we've done our part so we'll wait until dec when 17 months is up before inquiring again. last thing i want is for our file to be placed at the bottom of pile due to too many inquiries. on the same note hubby missed 2 unknown calls yesterday.

Just recived a message on my phone from the MP and she said that she "talk to a few folks...file is active...we are waiting for a bring forward date of july and if there is nothing new she will wait to hear from me then, at which time it would be appropriate to proceed"

bring forward date of july is not bad i guess

Kedeisha.. Bring forward date is the next time a IO is going to work on your file.

Ebonyshine.. Was your MP able to clarify why they are bringing it forward? Its so strange that the bfd is after your medicals have expired. Has your husband received a medical redo? Is that possibly the reason for the for the bfd and maybe your hubby hasn't received them yet?

Hey Shanchester- yes they need to release both you and togirls passports ASAP! The 16th is around the corner! No she left a message and thats all she said . she didnt even tell me a specific date, just a bring forward date of july. No request for med redo yet so im hoping we will recieve when they look at our file in July or maybe this query will trigger a request for redo. either way july is next month i'll be seeing my hubby and then when i get back it'll be time to follow up again. This process teaches a lot about patience.

Jahlove-any update. congrats on the email response. hope you get that "request" soon!

yes, Ebony, I don't know how you are doing it. ...but so glad you are staying positive. You def need to tell hubby to answer his phone. I'm worried he may have missed contact with embassy. tell him to keep in touch with his mail. maybe if they couldn't reach him they will send a letter. Glad to see you will be visiting him soon. I am sure that is giving you something good to focus on...enjoy!!!

Sanchester - I'm with you girl. they need to release dem passports. it's been almost 3 weeks now.....send dem couriers to our hubby's. hubby called Tara a few times but they put him on hold and it uses up all him credits so he ain't happy. i'm trying to reach on the 1-888 but it's always busy. both of us are caught in a time warp and until he gets the courier we won't have any motivation to do things. I've been prepping hubby for his 1st flight....airport, how food/drink works on the plane, arrival, escalators.....everything LOL He don't need no prepping for when he arrives cuz he knows what to do .....and i can't wait LOL

god grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change!!!!

Just wanted to check in, we are doing well, I am enjoying having hubby home. CULTURE SHOCK hit him yesterday big time! Lifestyles are so different.

Word of advice to get your spouses to get letters from their work places, they will need it here to find a job. I never thought of that.

God speed to you all to bring your spouses home! Have a great day everyone! I spent 4 hours on Monday doing paperwork to bring my stepsons here and I am not done. Yikes! Here we go again.

Morning Newbies. Well I just quiclkly glanced over the the last day or so but I had to comment.

Ebonyshine- I knew that Kim was going to do nothing. She takes all your info and then acts as if she will be on top of things and tells you to call back in 2 weeks and then when you call she has done nothing and has nothing to tell you but the exact same thing she said she would do 2 weeks prior!!!! She is something else. I think you bfd will request med redo and PPR. I think you hubby will be here by the mid of August at the latest.

Sanchester and Torgirl.....it seems like you both have my IO. PPR and original docs were requested on april 13th, it was delivered on April 14th and it was not sent back until 5 weeks later.

Torgirl...we also used Taro courier. What I did was send an email to their customer service dept. and they were very good to respond and follow up with me via email once the package was received in their office from the Canadian High Commission.


Lilymaya....I hope you are feeling better today. I will send you a Pm later.
