Hello BCGUY and others,

I just read the new release from the Minister. I am concerned. Was the Minister addressing to all immigration categories like PNP , Quebec or just to Federal ? I am at the medical stage now,and if anything is going to affect my stage, then it sucks !!! really bad. Please clarify. I am on NOC 4131 Quebec category.Should i worry

Thanks

Hi chinaconnection,

can u paste the link to what you have read ?

Oh! that, I read it from this forum. Please just scrull down on the pay and you will find a post by someone, " new release from Minister Kenny "

Thanks

This only affects Federal Temporary workers and Skilled workers,Quebec controls its own Immigration,You are not affected,Btw I believe you are an African working in China,My advice is to go to Montreal,Many people of African origin from the Carribean and Africa have settled there. In fact our Head of State Governor General Michelle Jean is of African Origin herself from Haiti ,Canada is different and does not have the racist tendencies of parts of China.I was in a restaurant once in Wuhan, where they forced 2 Africans to eat in the Kitchen as to not drive away customers

BCGUY,

thanks for your explaination. Yes i am an African and i will be moving to Montreal. Wow! about the issue of the 2 Africans i am not surprised atall. That is how we are being treated here, but i am surprised about Wuhan coz it is not as big and open to foreigners like Beijing , Shanghai etc. Africans are always victims of racism everywhere even here in China, including me. i have been looked down upon by so many Chinese pple just coz i am Black.

But wait a minute. BCGUY, it is like you are aware of racism in some other parts of Canada. If not why would you say you know i am African and i should move to Montreal coz bla ,bla ,bla does it mean i can't move to other parts of Canada? That is scary. Well let me tell you the reason why my familly and i decided Montreal would be our choice, we are from Cameroon and Cameroon is a Bilingual Country , we speak english and french i we have a baby who needs to be in a bilingual enviroment. It wasn't coz we were afraid of racism in any part of Canada.

Thanks

Hi,
For God's Sake, can someone tell me where on earth their is no RACISM and DISCRIMINATION.!!!
The bitter TRUTH is, there is Racism and Discrimination everywhere on earth, even in our own Countries.
Either hidden or pronounced (open). What about the cast/tribal systems in Africa, Asia etc
So we just have to live with it. Forget about all this RACISM and DISCRIMINATION issues. It's always been there and will be there.

No,I did not mean Canada is racist,Its just you might be more comfortable in Montreal,Toronto,Vancouver and other cities with African Populations since there are African Stores,Restaurants etc that might make adjustment easier

Rupe,

You are totatlly right. Racism can not be equated.

BCGUY, i understand your meaning now and thank you for always being straight and forward.

I still maintain it racism or no racism, i will still move to Canada and go to anywhere i want to.

Bobbyb,

the issue of racism wasn't really an issue. It was not a topic on it's own, it just came up while we were commenting on certain things.
