Called CIC and no mention of a glitch. They said it is the official time frame now. I am an AUG AOR 25 with LMIA and Background in Progress since Dec 19th only

Hmmm...there are multiple threads about this issue. See here http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/cic-application-processing-time-15-months-fsw-and-pnps-t394640.0.html and here http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/updated-average-processing-times-t394687.0.html

Like I said in those threads: "Don't panic. Grab a towel." This is obviously a glitch.
I doubt it's a glitch. It's a maximum processing time. And it's a good thing to know that CIC finally published it. Before they were telling you that there is no maximum processing time at all.

6 months is rubbish. They said "We will try process most of all applications in 6 months".

But a majority of applicants are getting their PPRs in less than 6 month. We know that from the spreadsheets and CanadaVisa processing time estimation tool. It is weird if they increase it from 6 month to 15 month all of a sudden.... Only one year after presenting this new system!

It doesn't mean that CIC increased processing time. For example when I called CIC after 6 months of waiting they said to me that there is no maximum processing time for EE and I should wait. Years if it's necessary. However to my MP they said that maximum processing time is 14 months for CEC under EE. I got my PPR in 10 months.

True. But what that link is showing as 15 month is for average processing time, not the maximum processing time! That's why it doesn't make sense. In terms of maximum processing time, I believe there is no maximum processing time as far as CIC is concerned! :p

But let's think about this for a second. One reason this may happen is because people have not submitted all the required information, they may have submitted out of date information, or CIC are finding it hard to verify employment references as businesses may have closed down etc. There could be any number of reasons. CEC should be easy to verify since it deals with Canadian employers and language requirements.

I am going to try and be positive and think this is the exception (rather than the norm). Hope I'm right.

6 months is average processing time for straight forward applications. If there are no issues and they don't require more information from you then you will probably receive PPR within 6 months. However, they are now committing to finishing the old CEC backlog within the next 6 months as well so this could be the reason for the increased processing time for EE. But like the above said, just because it says 15 months, doesn't mean it will take 15 months.

We can't control what we can't control. The only thing we can do is to hand in all the documents as per CIC requirements, and then wait for them to reply to us. All going well they should send a PPR. :)

Ok think in this way! If everything good in your application then within 6 months otherwise 15 or less but for pnp applicanta its showing 15 months too!! I created my profile in may 2015 for bc pnp and may 2016 my account will be going to expire because EE account is valid for one year so is this make sense? Now dont say cic will extend my account validity to 15 months

Yes this is what we can hope at this point. If everything goes well then within 6 months or less. People who got it is 2 or 3 months have been lucky.

That's Crazy. So what's the point of moving to a new system if it would take the same amount of time as the old one.

Doesn't make much sense at all.

This is exactly what I am saying! They are making draws and sending invitations to people who score high. If the processing time is going to be the same, why bother to make EE profile and wait to be invited and ...
Just go with the old system, huh?

I Really hope this is a glitch and it will be fixed.
I been waiting for 15 months since I submitted application under the old system.
Now that I applied under EE and paid all that extra money to have my application processed faster they decide to make it 15 months. that's complete bullshit in my opinion.
We should apply for Syrian citizenship and then for refugee. I bet that will make our applications go a lot faster and will not cost us a dime.
