Hi guys,

Just asking for my cousin. She married a Canadian who was under disability and had never worked before but since he wanted to get his wife from Phil and with the help of his Social Worker, he is able to get a full time job. He started his full time job last March 27,2017. If they will apply this year, let's say month of May, do you think there is a chance they will be approve or should they wait till he works for a year and then apply after that? My cousin has a daughter (dependent). Is there a certain income he needs to meet if his wife has one dependent?

Hi, pag nag fill ka ng forms, I suggest ilagay mo yung totoong name na ginagamit talaga ng mom mo. If ever lang you plan on sponsoring her in the future, dapat correct na yung name sa BC nya. To have it corrected, she needs to go sa local civil registry kung san registered yung BC nya. If under ng RA 9048 yung correction, within a few months maayos na din yan.

So dapat ko lang talagang lagay yung parents ko as dependants di po ba? Parang nakita kasi ako bigla. Tapos, yung BC nya na corrected na ang dapat kong lagay sa application, tama po ba?

Sa correction of first name, thru Local Civil Registry (LCR) lang yan and approximately 3-6 or 8 months. About the birthday, sa pagkaalam ko need ng court petition yan which could take a year or so. Would suggest to have your Mom go to the LCR now pa lang kasi mas complicated yung case nya sa akin. Yung sa kin kasi middle name and yung maiden name ng mother ko and luckily, di na daw need ng court petition. Yun nga lang, few months pa din ang ipaghihintay ko to have my BC amended.

May problem sa maiden name ng mom ko. Yung name nya sa BC ko, totally different sa name nya sa BC nya. Kelangan bang macorrect toh bago ko maisend yung application namin? Hindi naman sila pa kasama pero kelangan ko pa rin silang declare di ba?
