Hi, May applicant here as well. Have you heard anything from CEM? Here's my timeline.

1. We received your application for permanent residence on May 25, 2015.
2. We started processing your application on August 4, 2015.
3. Medical results have been received.

The only email I got from them was for request of additional documents but after that no news yet or request for PPR.

Greetings! We are a same-sex couple who applied for PR under Family Class- conjugal partner. Here is our time-line and our current dilemma.


SEPT 2014- mailed off application to Mississauga

NOV 2014- sponsorship approved

DEC 2014- application for PR received in Manila Embassy

FEB 2015- passport request along with appendix A

APRIL 2015- interview

MAY 2015- request for NBI (my second time sending.. I sent one with the application)

MAY 2015- reassessment of medical

AUG 12, 2015- checked e-cas:
"In-process"
1. We received your application for permanent residence on September 12, 2014.
2. We started processing your application on April 28, 2015.
3. Medical results have been received.
4. We sent you correspondence on August 5, 2015 to [insert my address here], about the decision on your application. If we have sent your application to the wrong address, please contact us.

AUG 12, 2015- I emailed immigration concerning the letter since it had already been a week and kindly asked them if there was any way to track it.

AUG 18, 2015- Response from immigration:
Please be advised that no additional documentation/information is required from you at this time. This file is currently in process. We will advise if additional information/documentation is required.


Can anyone offer some kind of insight on our application or is or has been on the same situation. I'm so confused as to why they would respond back with saying that our application is still in process when the e-cas info clearly says that they have made a decision and have sent a correspondence letter. (Which I still have not received and it's been 2 weeks now)

Any input or good vibes would be appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read.

i really hope that CEM will give you your visas !!! more than the new experiences (sobrang nakakapanibago!), the experience of being with your spouse is the best feeling in the world!

Congratulations Mrs. L! For sure you will get your visa soon. Halos sabay tayo! Sana kasing bilis din ng sayo yung akin I'm just worried about our application because even though we only filed the papers this May 2015, I did my medical examination last August 2014 pa. But when they requested for additional documents last August 17 they didn't mention anything about getting another medical and it says on their email:

"if any additional information or documentation is required to assess your application, we will contact you or your designated representative."

So far wala pa another email from them or PPR so I'm very concerned na baka maging problem ang medical with their decision since most people are granted their visa before the medical expiry date diba?

And I don't know exact date na nag in process ecas ko since our lawyer sends us all the updates thru email lang. Actually nalaman ko nga lang na pwede pala ako mismo magcheck online ng status dahil sa fb page (I'm already a member ) and pagcheck ko in process na talaga nakalagay. Do you know anyone na approved even after magexpire ng medical?

yung sa sis in law ko july 2013 applicant sha, may 2014 mageexpire yung medical nia pero april na sha nag ppr- hindi na sha nirequest mag pa medical ulit. wala naman naging problema. i guess kung wala naman request yung CEM for remed okay na yun. one month na nga today yung pp namen sa CEM kasama ko din daughter ko..sana mabalik na soon

I think Syrian refugees will not affect the processing of our application, CIC incharge for refugee sponsorship is different from family reunification.
