Guys,

My husband was approved as my sponsor in October. He's been with his company for 5 years and is looking to move on to something better. Does anybody know if this will in any way affect the process? Is this okay to do? Anybody have any experience with this?

Thanks in advance!

There should be no issues with the sponsor taking a new job after being approved to sponsor. Only the applicant is required to update CIC regarding job changes, moving addresses, etc because all of those would affect their background checks.

You don't have to, but you can if you think it would address any concerns. For example, if his income was on the lower end of the scale when you applied, and you want to boost your application with a better-paying job to forestall any Section A39 worries the visa officer might have, then advise them. If there were no such concerns, then it isn't an absolute necessity to tell them that the sponsor is changing jobs, no. Unless it requires him to move somewhere else than where you listed him as residing, that is!
