Hey guys,

So I have nearly all my documents ready to submit my application under the canadian experience class, but am starting a new job in a week. Do I need to get a reference letter from the new job, or is the offer good enough? Should I try to submit the application before or after I start the job? And do I list it in my work experience? If so, then a letter is probably required. But the letter would not show any new information that the offer doesnt show.... And can the application be updated once submitted?
Please help, only have less than 3 weeks to submit!

Thank you in advance!

Hi,

CEC is all about your past experience not current. So if you have fulfilled the 1 year full time promise, you don't have to worry about your current or next job. For instance if your job is calculated from Jan 2016 to Jan 2017 you don't have to worry about February onwards.

And yes you can update your application if needed.

Best of luck,

Unless you are worried about some deficiency in your application, there is no point in waiting to apply, or even including your job offer letter. With CEC, you either meet the requirements, or you don't. "Extra" does not benefit you.
