Adding to the data here, hoping it would help someone.

1st Application - End of May 2021 (GCMS noted revealed, not even eligibility check was started)
2nd Application - 18th Sep 2021 (Again using GC Key)
Passport Request - 24th Sep

1st Application was automatically withdrawn after PPR on 2nd. Also got a letter saying a refund is not possible on 1st application as some processing has been done. I am really happy there is a positive outcome, not too concerned about the visa fees.


This application is for Family visit.

wishing you good luck! keep an eye on it, i checked my application last night around 9 pm est and nothing, not even eligibility started. then at 11:45 est they sent the email that i have a message in the portal. the eligibility has been started and that final decision it has been approved. also the passport request letter.

Am trying to fill the New Visitor Visa form online, There was a question about US non immigrant visa if present in another passport which has expired. its asking to fill out the expired passport date of issue and date of expiry.
The date of issue is 10/05/2010 and date of expiry is 17/05/2020. am not able to choose year 2010 in the select year filed.
Any one else facing the issue?

Have raised a web form to inform the IRCC but it doesn't look like I will hear any update soon from them

Hi there,

Looks like lot of people who resubmitted is getting quick response

I have been in dilemma to resubmit my applications. I applied on April 25 there is no progress, eligibility has not even started yet. I wrote and submitted webform for enquiry to Delhi office, just got a generic response.

Do you all think I should resubmit my applications?

That's exactly why you should re-apply.

Hi Folks,

I've one question to all of you. If you're resubmitting the TRV from either GC key/New Portal then is your OLD application immediately null or void.

Or the first applications gets void only when the second is approved/rejected.

Any responses are welcomed.

GCKey is for all other visits resubmission.

All forms are filled online, no pdf filling. You only have to submit your personal documents. All other Application forms are web based.
New System, IRCC recommends apply through it but it doesn't have any advantage over GCKEY.

GCKEY
Old system, you gotta fill the pdf documents yourself and then apply.
Recently GCKEY applicants are getting quick approval compared with IRCC Portal.

According to IRCC, No difference in both. Applications submitted through any of it will be processed accordingly. That's all.
