prior to this latest update, i had the same exact statuses you describe.....

it seems that this e-cas thing is way behind....

i think they are just updating statuses. i dont know if these statuses existed before.

Hi,

Our status online was "We started processing your application 17 july, 2008"

Now it says

“We received you application on 15 April, 2008”
“Interview scheduled 28 May, 2009”

Dear All,

As expected I got the letter from the London officer stating that please use new file number mentioned in this letter to view to status online. The documents are being received and pending review.

Thanks I will update once again if anything new received

Cheers
Khanboy

They seem to be doing some cleaning on the status messages. Previously I had two status messages, one was redundant (the one stating CIO has evaluated my application) and they took that one out. I see my address is also changed. I don't have 'USA' on my address any longer.

Same here, Rupesh. The CIO status is no longer seen; however, when I click on the remaining status, it still shows the details of the CIO application only.

Dear All,

I posted the completed application to London Office in April 2009 and the docs were pending review.

Dear All,

The new e-cas status shows that the documents has been reviewed and process starts on xxxx June 09.

I just wanted to know if they are some docs lacking in the application pack or required by the visa office then they start the process or not? Or there is some other message like additional docs required or letter sent?

What I meant if they do not have any objection after reviewing then they start processing or not? Will the e-cas status be different if additional docs are required or any objection?

Do let me know.

Kind Regards,
Khanboy

I agree with Imran Ali. They can still ask you for updated documents (like PCC) but they probably won't. In fact, they can ask you to update anything they want at any time.

i had this situation man,

My status says eligibility review complete and started processing on ** June 09

The I got a letter a week after the ECAS status changed from the CHC London, stating that they will require a new PCC from pakistan,

They have given me a 60 day period in which to sbumit the PCC and that the file will be reviewed in 60 days and give them 4 months processing time to process the case. It also mentioned that visa officer will give his final review either approved, declined, or call for an interview after this document is sent to them.

But the Ecas status mentions that that processing has begun.

Kind regards,
Amin

alice....question? why do they need a new PCC from Pakistan? Di d you submit an expired PCC?

BTW, received AOR and CIO already asked me to submit full appli in London Visa Office within 120 days, I already completed all the documents except for the Police Clearance in Qatar, I have PCC in Qatar but it is already expired. Got it last year when i left that country. Now I am still in a dilemma how to get a new one there.

Seniors, is it advisable for me to submit all docs with my expired PCC in Qatar, i have PCC from Saudi and the Philippines and those are current and updated/ Do you think will be having a problem in the future same as the problem of those in this forum? tnx

Please advise

That's what I did man, I got a PCC before leaving Pakistan, and it was expired when i Submitted it but I never went back to pakistan and I had mentioned it to them.

It may be different maybe because of the security concerns in pakistan they are strict, maybe you may get away with Qatar.

But it clearly mentions that the application has been reviewed, but now will be assesed by an IO who will decided to reject, call for an interview or Approve. This is where i'm confused, because they are saying that application reviewed and started processing.

But one good thing is that additional document request letter had a huge list of documents required, but they only checked an updated PCC from Pak. It had Proof of funds, Employments contracts, ETC..
