Hello, Congratulations..... What according to you it took more than 12 months in your case ?

The only thing took a lot of time was BGC. Aor 2 was September 2016
No Interview and Eligibility was passed on February 2017
And then BGC took almost a year. Apparently it takes a while for BGC for Afghan citizens. Got re medical request on January 31, 2018 and DM on February 9.

Brother first of all congratulations,man who cares is it normal or not just go straight to VFS and submit your Passport
