Hey i got sa today according to call centre agent
My file will be forwarded to nvdo.senior members or whoever having any idea about the currend trends in nvdo for the last two months ,please tell me what to expect in the near future. Dont redirect me to the spread sheet but i would love to hear your opinion. Thank you.

Application Received: 15th April 2016
AOR1: 5th May 2016
SA: 3rd June 2016

Did you contact your MP? The reason why I keep asking to contact the MP is because your MP is the only person who can talk directly to NDVO and give you the possible options in like 10 mins (if he/she wants).

I am not sure if sending the passport across borders is a law. I think it is more of a guideline than a law. There is always a risk that it might get lost in the mail and then you are stuck in a foreign country without passport. I have myself sent my passport twice across borders (not Indian border) when I was in Europe. Their mail department have specific service to carry passports. Some courier services also have the same. Don't think it will be illegal if they have such services. May be it varies from country to country. Anyways it should definitely be avoided if possible. I think in a similar way it is not advisable for someone else to carry your passport.

When you say contacting an MP did u mean a Member of the Parliament here in Australia? Sorry if it's a stupid question. Never knew that was an option to deal with something related to Canadian PR.

No. MP in this reference means Member of Parliament of the constituency of the sponsor in Canada. So your sponsor have to meet him in Canada and explain your situation.

But that's the point of the spreadsheet, so you can see the dates on a larger scale and judge accordingly. If you got your SA recently, you are officially in the waiting portion of this journey.

It's a long wait ahead. They have pretty much stopped processing 2016 applications for last month or so. Maybe they are working behind the doors, but we don't know. Only thing we know is that there haven't been any updates since may 10 or so.

You'll get AOR2 in 2-3 weeks. After that no one can tell what will happen. Some Jan-March applicants got DM in the first half of May and since then there is no update. So you'll have to wait and see how things goes.

That's good. But personally speaking, I don't think sending an email to MP is a good approach. The PR application is very important to you and you can show that by visiting the MP's office personally (not by just sending an email). Moreover, you have very less time. Most of the MPs take couple of weeks to respond, the time which you don't have. If you want to get it done fast, I'd suggest your wife should take an appointment and visit the MP's office on Monday. She might need to push the MP to act faster on your issue otherwise your it might be one pending in the long queue of items they are working on.

Hi. Does anyone knows if we can carry gold with us while landing and what is limit for it?
Are there any taxes or duty after limit? Also I read somewhere that we have to fill B4 form if we carry gold
and declare gold in it. Also, do we have to carry potographs or bills for it?
Just wanted to know if someone had that experience with immigration when they landed in canada for first time.
