You cannot contact New delhi visa office directly to confirm something. Your sponsorship part is completed.
Yes your husband must have the AOR2 in his email/post. check with him.

What is this ???

Looking at this it probably seems that they should be requesting your passport soon now. It suggests that they are ready with counterfoil for visa. Good luck!

since u are already so ahead in ur PR process and by the pace at which NDVO is processing it is a possibility u can get PPR in couple months... But still I feel there's no harm applying for the visitor visa as the outcome of that is pretty quick (we applied online and got ours in 10 days)..and if by that time u get ur POR for PR application then u still have 30 days to submit ur passport..

Oh no that sucks!!!! Very disheartening! I hope they pick up and start working on our files!!! I have ordered notes to, I'll get them mid-May, I have a feeling nothing is started as well Does it say anything about an interview??? Hang in there and I know how you feel!

Hi Everybody,

My wife and I have been silent readers of the forum. She finally got her PPR and has landed in Canada after a long and excruciating wait.

Here is our timeline:

File Transfer : 26-06-2015
Med's Done : Upfront:09-03-2015
Remedical Request: 15-03-2016
Remedical Sent : 18-03-2016
Decision Made : 03-04-2016
Passport Req : 07-04-2016
Passport Received: 13-04-2016

The wait was very difficult but we were able to somehow get through by trying to stay positive and keeping ourselves busy.


Some info on the PPR to Landing process:

Once the ppr mail came, we took photos according to the specs (same as remedicals) and submitted the passport at the VFS office.
Make sure you have your spouse's eye colour and passport number to fill out the form. The VFS office then sends the passport to Delhi and give you a tracking number.

The passport comes back with visa (without a photo) and a certificate of permanent residence (this is an important document so hold on to it).

After landing at Toronto Pearson airport, she finished her immigration. It was pretty quick and straightforward.
From immigration you will be guided to a service canada kiosk to pick up your Social Insurance number (This is a very important document/number that you will need for many things in Canada)
After that you go to pick up your luggage and then to customs. If you plan to declare any goods (at present or in future) - make sure to let the customs officer know so that you can declare it and avoid paying duty in the furture when you bring those goods into Canada.
Have the B4 and B4A forms filled up with photographs and appraisals if you are planning to bring in jewelry.

In our case the customs officer asked to have just one consolidated form. We had them seperate so it took some extra time to consolidate the list.
It might save you some time if you have both versions (consolidated and seperate B4 and B4A forms)

Starting April 9, 2016, you can get more detailed status and your mail online for some applications. You will need to have an account. You can link the following paper applications to your online account:

Work permit
Study permit
Visitor record
Statuses for applications submitted on paper under the Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker Program and the Federal Skilled trades program can already be checked online through your online account.
