Today received an email regarding the ADR.

Please provide reasons for not conducting a traditional marriage ceremony and not going for any post-marriage outings. Also please provide exact dates of periods of cohabitation with your sponsor after the marriage.


Please advise whether your sponsor re-visit you after marriage and provide dates of his visit and also submit photographs taken during his visit.


Kindly help what we can reply them for the same as we had only marriage, do not want to have full fledge wedding, after that we had a party with close near and dears.......

you first tell us the reasons why you didn't do what ndvo has asked....i guess no one can suggest you in this case....you have to be honest with them.....if they catch you lying then you will be in serious trouble. i would suggest the members to refrain from giving you any advises because its a serious issue and only you can reply them.

Truly said mike23.. he have to be honest, but with evidential proof of there question WHY.. well i suppose there question is genuine

I am just giving you thought

traditional marriage ceremony : whats the reason (like financially not sound enough(proof), intercaste marriage)

post-marriage outings.: whats the reason (like financially not sound enough(proof), no time (proof) to busy with relative/religious activity may be (photo proof and date)

periods of cohabitation with your sponsor after the marriage.: you must fill the forms correctly as each form easily define the period


whether your sponsor re-visit you after marriage and provide dates of his visit and also submit photographs taken during his visit.:

what is the opening time of vfs.
i am planning to submit passport tomorrow in chennai, it take nearly 7 hours for me to go to chennai.
i will reach there at 1.30 in afternoon. can i submit at 2pm in vfs??

9 years relation good point,, proof it to them by photos of those times

You should explain the reason for not doing traditional marriage in detail, how you and your spouse arrived on that decision, what all factors did you consider, etc. Your reason for not having a traditional marriage is very logical but it is not very common in India and that’s why they are asking questions. In addition, in India parents have a bigger say for having a traditional wedding. You need to explain how you got them to agree for not having a traditional marriage, what was there first reaction, how did you convince them, etc.

Post weddings pics are good, but don't just stick to pics. Send other proofs of visit and continuous contact after wedding as well. Like travel tickets, boarding pass, movie tickets, chat history, call logs, gift receipts, letters, emails, etc. whatever you have.

You must have lots of proof as you were in relationship for 9 years and I hope you have provided it earlier. If not, this is your chance.
Again, not just photos but also other proofs as mentioned above.
