I had ordered GCMS notes on feb 9th, received month later and they say that interview waiver recommended. Eligibility in progress and security, criminality not started. Did MP inquiry later on and they had nothing to add except the file is being processed in Delhi and processing times are 17 months. Its been over a year now since I applied and over a month since I did my remeds and it doesn't look like I am getting the visa anytime soon. I just cannot wait for 7 more months.

don't worry it won't take 7 more months. as soon as ur security and criminality is checked they will give you DM/PPR.

I just have a question as to upgrading schedule A personal history. We submitted the documents for sponsor application but I just realized that we need to upgrade the personal history page because my husband had several internship programs during his university studies. So, during these internships he had to travel to different places in our country and live near that company during his term there. In my application, we didn't mention this. We only mentioned that he was studying at the university during the four years. Can I still call the embassy and upgrade the information?

Hi all....it's not true that if criminalty and background check is done they give u ppr...I did a MP inquiry last week as we have already done remed and they asked for additional documents after. our MP calls into Ottawa - gets put into a que and gets a call back from Ottawa next day....our security criminal and background check is done ...remed done...Additional documents have been with NDVO for a month deadline March 14 and still we have heard nothing March 6 applicant

That's because u got asked for additional docs (which sometimes increases the timeline by 3 months).

I was talking about a straight case where security and background are the only things left.

In ur case, they will verify ur add. Docs when they decide to re-visit ur file which could be anyone's guess.

Yes, u should pay the landing fee (recommended). But it is not compulsory to do so at the time of submitting application.

Ur probably right .. but I don't think there's any 100% sure way to understand their process. It's so frustrating looks like I have a longer wait then most which is so unfortunate considering it was a very straight forward case. My husband had yet to meet his daughter and my dad is now sick. Any one else other than MP to appeal to?
