Saw this in CIC website today..seems like our applications may have a chance to get processed out of India..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why did processing times information change?

Prior to December 31, 2015, processing times for many of our services were displayed by visa office. This was useful when applications for permanent or temporary residence were always processed by the nearest visa office. However, we now have the ability to move applications around our global network to ensure they are processed as efficiently as possible. This means your application may not be processed at the office closest to where you live.

For many services, instead of asking about your nearest visa office, you are now asked for your country of residence. This provides you with a more accurate processing time. For other services, you may see a single processing time, no matter where you live. This is our commitment to process applications within that time. These processing times are updated on a weekly basis.

Sorry but did not understand. Is this a good sign to us ?? I am still a long way as my file is just filed in Jan 2016. But I keep praying that things catch up a good pace and everybody gets cleared fast . So is this a good news ??

Though I have to wait few months more.
I daily fight with my husband.
Its so so so damn irritating and frustrating.

This is a good step by new govt... Hope they'll pick up some more pace. I guess we should expect daily updates now!!! ;D

Hold on ssgmahajan... have some patience!!! we all are in same boat.... some of 2014 applicant's are still waiting... Jan, Feb and some of March are still waiting... n they have just started April...Im a May applicant... Ur August applicant... so u hv to wait some more time... I pray we all get updates as soon as possible.... and to u and to all the other members of the forum... pls don't fight with ur spouse regarding this issue... They can't do anything... we have to spend our life's with each other so try to be more helpful rather than complaining, blaming & fighting... try to build ur relation during this time try to understand each other... fighting will only add more suffering for u... nothin else... try to go out, go for some vacations, go out with ur family, friends etc... believe me... thats what u can do!!! nothing else... so take a deep breath and pray to lord we will get through soon. and god bless us all...

GKCanada well said. We primary applicants are at least living with out full family. We have family and friends but our sponsors are also equally helpless and they are alone there.. They cannot even share what they are going through... So true understanding an bonding starts from this.

I make lot of hand made stuff for my husband an send.. I some times make quiz for him. Ours is love marriage so i send him multiple choice questions regarding few words from my mother tongue, some times i ask identify this relative and tell me how are they related etc.

It helps us bond well and the joy that they get when they read our letters or open the gift is priceless. And its mutual I feel i am busy and have some thing that deviates my attention from the regular stress we face in this wait game for PR..

i guess its a good sign as the applications are distributed, the number of applications processed might also gets increased..!!!!!!!

life is not so easy there when ur living alone in Canada. but when ur with ur life partner then its quite easy.. but our partners are doing whatever they can do to bring us there. so just wanted to say try to lough and share together and if u dont then pls dnt fight with them... btw Ur doing great n quite interesting...
