NEW DELHI - 2015 SPOUSAL VISA APPLICANTS

Hello everyone!

I applied for my wife last year in June 2015 and just recently (well, just a couple of days ago), two officers from CIC showed up without any notice at her house and conducted an interview with her for 3-4 hours. Is this genuine? We are so confused and worried. They said they wanted to make sure that the marriage is not a fraud and they bombarded her with 200 questions pertaining to her marriage and also kept taking photographs of the house, family members and the village as well!

Guys! please someone! tell me if something similar has happened to them or to somebody you might know that has probably gone through a similar situation.

Hello everyone, i just want know if anyone of you on this thread have gone through this kind of situation..i filed my app on 31 nar 2016 and i got drcision made ob 7 sept after my background check went in progress two days ago before decision made...but i never got ppr after that..been a month...worried to death...poz help if anybody knows...i sent them an email and did case specific enquiry..!!

OMG! That sounds soon suspicious! I wonder how they would have the resources to actually travel to applicants village or homes with camera for hours to conduct interviews, honestly sounds too strange , did they tell her wat the outcome is and did they even have ur application info file number to etc...I would call now notify cic to come firm this is legit, sounds odd

I know. That's what i was wondering because something like this I have never ever heard before. They had the photocopied file on hand and sounded very suspicious, literally took pictures of every corner of the house and on their way out, they even interviewed some of the neighbours as well.

My cousin was sponsored for Spain and Spain immigration conducted same style of interview. But she was approved afterwards.

Long time ago I heard about cic visiting a family and interviewing family members and neighbors as 5 family members were sponsored under family class. It seems like Canada immigration has started doing it for wedding cases too.

What is your timeline? At what stage your file is?

What is your timeline? At what stage your file is?

It's part of the background process/review of eligibility process for certain cases in the spousal category. It's happened to few people on the forum who applied through NDVO. Depends on a case by case basis. What region is your spouse from? Order GCMS notes to see if there are red flags or anything from your past or your spouse's immigration history (family included) that could have triggered a home visit.

Same hear it says eligibility check in process dont know but trust in god their will be day

Application filed on 15th april 2015... n they received on 16th april 2015

Don't know they left 2015 applicants behind and start doing 2016 applicants .

And
Even conduct of ur neighbours/ near dear one

GCMS noted give u clear picture
