hi guys, my wife's file also got in process, but strange thing is they wrote "we started processing your application on 13aug 2014". but this was the date when file was received at new delhi. i think this is only the tactic to make process 17 months from the date file received at new delhi.

Agree with you Jagga. by putting the file in process status they are trying to show that file has been touched. By doing this they are trying to reduce the increasing number of MP inquiries and Notes request they have been receiving lately.

My status also changed to In process today with third line added that we started processing application on June 23 rd the day when AOR 2 was received.

I have an upcoming interview on monday. don't think this in-process means anything except they are showing that file has been received in Delhi office. It is different from what they were doing before.
Best of luck for ur interview :)

yeah, now they can say that the file is in timeframe of 17 months at new delhi. Previously 17 months would be counted from the date file received at mississauga. They are changing rules to make them comfortable.
Anyways i am desperately waiting for interview letter.

Best of luck Fiza for your interview.
It will all be good.

It clearly states to add the both of the steps. There not trying to "fool" anyone. I will assume this as a positive change and hope everyone a speedy process.

Thanks Jagga. I wanted to be there with him but couldn't as I have no vacation left:(

Really nervous now. Praying praying.....this time god has to listen to our prayers. We have been separated for so long.

Your husband should send it, obviously. Whoever the letter is addressed to should answer the request.

We are in similar situation - IP aug 12th but no remedical request. Did you order notes? in your ecas status, does it show 3 lines or 4 lines?
THanks

The ecas status has four lines. I ordered the notes last week...the only problem is, they take 30 days to process a notes request. I would much rather just get DM/PPR before the notes, lol.

I too have more than 6 months clean Canada travel history (student visa in 2009). I heard ndvo may call to come to take again , ask for fingerprints at CHC new delhi. I have already submitted Canada Pcc from RCMP in my application. NDVO on average takes 3-4 months for travel history checks (if stayed more than six mnths). NDVO may call for Interview even after Inprocess.

My wife is currently in Canada on a TRV, and she has travel history to the UK and UAE.

Is that why we've been IP for 2 months with no progress? That would make sense...when NDVO called 3 weeks ago, after the lady confirmed my wife was in Canada, she said something about an extra background check that had to be done if she was here in Canada. Is that why its taking so bloody long?! They should have just told us...I could have gotten a police clearance certificate from the RCMP in like, 2 days!

3 to 4 MONTHS?!! Don't give me a heart attack! This is ridiculous...they regularly reject TRV applicants for having no "travel history", but when you apply for PR with travel history, they take longer!

It also means that they have started working on your file and will soon get a ppr or dm

Why don't you go for mp inquiry in order to get a quick status on your application
