Hope there'll be a stream of dm and ppr next week!!

Btw, can we still do mp inquiry at the moment? With the election coming up, even if mp makes an inquiry for us, there's a chance that same mp may not be an mp by the time ndvo responds to them right?

They really are sleeping on your file. Looks like your are in a clear from procedural stand point and should get visa about 2 to 3 months ago man.

Hang in there tho. you are almost there. i will let you know once i get my notes see what brings that for me. keeping my finger cross.
No more hopes yaar vickey when ever they feel like giving let them give . In spite of compiling all the documents after completing all the checks for no reason they have kept my file without processing. They have dumped my file totally.

I've lost all hopes more 4 months left for my processing time line to complete(i.e 17 months after the file transfer to ndvo)

I've convince my mind and convinced myself not to expect on or before Feb 2nd 2016

Each and every time I'm fooling myself today or tomorrow I'll hear something from ndvo which is just waste at the end of the day I'm ruining my health and my life

When ever almighty feels like giving me visa let him give

I've done my best god will do the rest :)

One of my friend applied on April 25,2014 and she got her visa in the first week of December. Other friend applied in March 2014, got his visa in November. If your file is straight forward, it should not take more than 8 or 9 months. Stay positive. ;D

I just asked my another friend. He applied on June 26, 2014 and got Visa on Feb 20 2015. That is about 8 months ( including Christmas holidays) .

Hi Everyone,

My wife had an interview yesterday and it went well. My wife submitted the new medical and PCC at the end of the interview. They didn't ask for the passport. Overall, the interview went well. Visa Officer said everything looks good and mostly positive. Now waiting for Passport Request.

The Visa Officer called me here in Canada during the interview. In fact, my wife was sitting in front of him when I was answering his questions. Just an advise, don't get too nervous. Try to learn things about the sponsor's everyday life and his family. They looked the smaller wedding album my wife had. She took two big ones and one small one but the officer only wanted to see one. We hired a interpreter, it really helps. Even if it doesn't I think its good to have in case there is a need. No phones or wires or cables are allowed in the embassy. You have to go through security so don't keep any proofs on your phone because its not allowed. Go through all the sample questions you can find on the internet.

If you sent an extra package or updated information after submitting the application, then make sure you know what was included in that package to keep the story line straight.

I would have difficulty level of the interview was "medium". Just be simple and spend as much time as you can on preparation for the interview and it will all pay off in the end. There is not harm in over preparing but be careful not to blindly memorize. Listen to the questions carefully, if the question is unclear, ask them to repeat it but please do not answer without fully understanding the question. Remember that is why the interpreter is there.

I believe this is long enough for everyone to read.....hope this information helps. This forum and the whatsapp group has really been a great help in getting information regarding this whole process. Please continue to share your experiences and remember, others are going through the same pain as well. Share generously and especially after your process completes. Don't be cheap....God bless everyone with speedy visas.

Some of the questions asked during the interview were as follows:

-Marriege dates and a few details regarding sponsor's visit.
-Manager's names, work collegues names, friends names, which friends I spend more time with
-if I (sponsor) went out during the weekend to any place
-Any events sponsor attended recently or weddings (i attended my friends wedding here in Canada)
-who is living with me here in Canada
-what does my younger sister do? When did she graduate? Is she working anywhere at the moment?
-any health problems my parents have or experienced something recently.
-did I talk (no chat but voice call) to my wife on previous saturday and sunday? (interview was on Tuesday)

Hello Fellow Applicants, :)

I have some questions regarding re-medical.

As other applicants were able to do so successfully and have it updated in the system without much delay. I told my wife to do re-medical even if we didn't have re-medical request from NDVO yet (medical expires Nov. 10, 2015). I went with this seeing lot of people waiting for few months just to get re-med request. Hoping that doing this will probably not delay our file. :-\

My wife is in Gujarat so she is going to the Apollo Hospital in Ahmadabad. Every time she called to book re-medical, they gave her different reasons (like you have to have request from NDVO, they won't accept it, we can only do re-medical after 1 year, you will waste your money, etc.) and didn't book the appointment.
This time she was able to book an appointment but she didn't mention that it will be for re-medical and they booked an appointment without any questions.

I want to ask guys who did re-med without request. What is the procedure? What do you have to say to the doctor? Since they can't submit results do they give it to us to submit? Do we need to specifically ask for it (results)?

Please guide us.
Thanks

Kindly wait till Nov 10th (your first medical date) and then go to the hospital for a remedical.
In fact, at Apollo Bangalore, I was told that the medicals are valid for 12 months and in some cases it is valid for 15 months.
I got it done without a request and UCI number was given to me and an acknowledgement with the seal of the doctor, which I scanned and sent as an attachment in a mail, when I got a remedical request from NDVO.

I hope this helps. :)

Its a buzz killer yo. i even dodge my wife calls. conversastion goes sour like mother ferrrrr you know what i mean. rely on notes or mp inquiries. hard to put faith in ecas status.

but i sent additional documents 3 weeks ago regarding my visit to india . so hope that changed anything . but speculating things out of my ass right now man. I amma still enjoyed this in-process stuff few days till i start doing inquiries.

I know how you feel. We couldn't stay apart at all...2 months after she went back, we applied for a second TRV, and got one which is good until her passport expiry. So we were very lucky. Now we're just waiting for the PR.

Two months (or more in some cases!) of IP is ridiculous though, when people are getting DM and PPR within 3 or 4 weeks. If we don't hear anything in the next week or two, I'm going to start making some noise.

I tried to contact our MP a couple of days ago, but no one is answering the phone. I'm assuming that most of them are closed because of the election. I might try one of the candidates though...they will be actively campaigning, so who knows? Maybe one of them can get ahold of someone in the Minister's office.

Sorry haha...you must think I'm a real buzzkill. :P

That's just me being frustrated...I was expecting DM after 3 to 4 weeks, and we've been waiting for 2 months now. I'm hoping that it isn't going to stretch to 3 or 4 for this stupid travel history check. We officially cross the 60 day mark next week though, so hopefully we see some movement then.

If not, then the notes should arrive by the end of the month...should have a better idea of whats going on by that point. I'm still hoping for DM/PPR before the notes though!

I am in the same boat. Got In process on May 21, 2015. Got remedical request in June and nothing since then!! God knows when our time will come. So angry right now, it's affecting our lives so badly!!

Bro...my wife is from Gujarat as well and she went to the same hospital to get her medical done second time WITHOUT request.
Here are some points for you to REMEMBER.

- just call it medical (do not call it re-medical if it is not a request from NDVO). It is still considered medical upfront because the first one expired.
- NEVER go for medical again if the first one is not expired. The system will not allow them to do a second one, it is a fact. (anyone else reading this, please stop calling them if your first medical has not yet expired since they cannot generate a new report while one is still valid).
-Doing medical and PCC without notice and having it available will save 1-2 months but if you do them too early its a waste of time and money. Plus, if p

Only do medical again, if you see its getting close to the time where people who applied 1 month before you are starting to get their (interviews or in-process). You can find out from the forums, whatsapp group and spreadsheet.

My wife's medical expired in December 2014, and she went for second full medical in June. She had her interview 1 week ago and she submitted her in person to the Visa Officer new medical and PCC before leaving the interview. She did her PCC after she got her interview letter (we got 5-6 weeks notice for interview). So there you go....hope this helps.

My status also changed to In process today with third line added that we started processing application on June 23 rd the day when AOR 2 was received.

I have an upcoming interview on monday. don't think this in-process means anything except they are showing that file has been received in Delhi office. It is different from what they were doing before.

Fiza,

That's what happen to me. It changed to IP when they sent me interview letter and the date it showed was Sept. 2014. This is when I got a call at my wife's home from NDVO asking questions about the marriage.

I think MP himself don't do the inquiry. The inquiry is done by the MP's office, someone there can call and ask immigrations what is going on with your file. They have a MP direct line which they call, here in CANADA. Yes, my MP called in CIC in Canada. Everything is in the system. They can also email NDVO or call them as well.

Hope this helps...

Have you ordered your notes? You should definitely be making some noise with your MP. Its still "within the processing time", but still, thats just nuts.

Is it you thats in India, or your spouse? You may want to consider applying for a TRV. Order your notes, and if the interview is waived, apply for a TRV. You have nothing to lose, really. If you get it, come to Canada, then when you finally get PPR, send the passport to Ottawa, and do your PR entry at the US border.

Hi guys,

Congrats to all who received IP today. I want some feedback from senior members please.

my AR is Sep 19,2014. I just got my IP today and it says it's been in process since Nov 14,2014. I did my medical on Aug 12, 2014. I didn't get re-med yet. I applied for my notes on Sep 28 2015 so i guess i've to wait until Oct 28 2015.

What should i be doing now other than waiting?

I don't know how to do a MP enquiry. Can anyone please tell me how to?

I feel like my timeline is very similar to YYC787.
