hello everyone i am may 2014 aplicant . Now my 16 month compleat but not update yet no ip, DM, ppr since date :'(

Hey,

Technically its been only 12 months since you take the time from the file reaches Delhi which was Aug 2014. Have you ordered the notes - which will give you insight into where the file stands and you can also contact your local MP to do an inquiry.

So my wife got a call early this morning from someone at NDVO. I don't think it was a visa officer...my wife said from the lady's accent, she could tell she was Indian.

Basically, she just wanted to confirm that my wife is in Canada (she's here on a TRV), because apparently there is one extra background check required if the applicant is in Canada. RCMP police check maybe? She also wanted to confirm my wife's e-mail address. She said that you may get an e-mail requesting a medical exam (not a full re-medical, just one test or whatever).

It sounded like she's submitting our file for review to a visa officer, because she said that she had to submit the file further, and they would decide whether to extend her medical results (expired in August), or to send her for an exam. She said that after the background checks were done, and once the medical stage was completed, her visa would be issued.

Fingers crossed for DM soon!!!

When did you(/spouse) applied for TRV.
Did you get it in first attempt?
I am planning to apply for TRV if I dont hear from them in one months time.

Yes, first attempt, and its valid until her passport expiry. She had travel history to other countries, which helps a lot.

If you got your AOR in February, it's going to be at LEAST December before you hear anything. You may want to apply sooner rather than later. If you apply later, and you (or your spouse?) get it, you don't want them to send you for an interview a few weeks after you land in Canada. May as well come earlier and spend some time together.

You are one of those July applicant who got stuck by tsunami of Nepali earthquake applicants.
Till june 2014 applicant NDVO was working diligently on all the files.
Even thought many people went to inProcess in Aug month, PPR and DM is very less.
Sept has been a very slow month so far.
I am still skeptical about NDVO processing speed.

Ya thats true. And the wait was horrible man.
Hope NDVO starts working on files. I dont understand their need to make ppl wait like this.

They waived off my interview and didnt touch my file for 2 to 3 months after that. It took sharp 6 months in "in process" before i got ppr.

So i guess what the old applicants told about the general time frame of 3 to 6 months of "in process" is correct.

Hey thanks for updating spreadsheet feels good to see our name in green. hopeful will get PPR in following weeks. ... on spreadsheet it says re medical but we had waited for medical request from ndvo and it was our first. we had not submitted it with application. We got a call and an email from NDVO on 27th August 2015. Did medical on 28th aug. In November, along with Aor 2 we had received email request for PCC which we submitted the in Jan 2015.

P.S - We also submitted additional proof in feb, (WITHOUT request) of our traditional marriage photos and honeymoon that was held in Jan 2015. That was received as per notes in we orders in july.

What all documents have you submitted for ur wife's TRV?
And how much time it took?

If you apply online for TRV, it takes only 12 days for them to make a decision.
However, as the other person said, his wife had travel history which goes in favour for TRV.
My friend's wife's TRV got refused due to no travel history, and not showing strong connection to india.

He applied again using lawyers this time and notarized letters from him and his wife's family (result pending).

It all depends on luck. I applied TRV for my husband, showed all the ties to India and the application was applied through lawyer. However we waited for decision for 30 days. The day they send us the interview letter, next day the decision on TRV was send and it was rejected on the basis of "purpose of visit" which didn't make any sense to me or my husband. Don't know whether it was coincidence or they were holding the file for TRV until interview letter was send.
