Congrats Karan....very happy for you. Finally your long wait has come to an end :)

It will take 1 or 2 days for MP enquiry.

You will have to make an appointment with the office and sign something there or they might ask you for a authorization letter. Type a letter where your spouse if giving you and the MP office authority to make an enquiry to check the status. The letter can be simple 2-3 lines that includes your name and the MP name. Get your spouse to sign the letter and take it to the MP office along with the AOR letter from NDVO.

How many days it takes to get response from NDVO when MP does the enquiry...

I have sent a mail to MP yesterday but no response from MP itself.....further to that response from NDVO......everywhere it is wait and nothing else. ???

My MP office said that they called the local CIC office for my status. They found out from here that my file is in interview queue and they have not scheduled a date yet.

So the local CIC office probably have access to the same system/information used in NDVO.

So should I try calling CIC local office?

I don't know may be. But the chances are they might not tell you anything since the telephone operators are not authorized to disclose such information.

MP office on the other end is different. They may not have called the general 1-800-GO-Screw-Yourself number and may be called some direct line available to them.

I called them 2-3 months ago and they said they cant do anything since the file is still within normal processing time. Then when my medical expired I called and said "I know my file is still in normal processing time but my medical has expired and I still have not heard anything from CIC" after that they gave me an appointment to come in and bring with me a letter and the AOR letter or any other document that states the UCI number.

Hey Magicman ....is ur medical not expired in last Dec.........did u do re-medical and sent again?

I heard CIC called in certain circumstances issued visa spontaneously before expiry of medical.
