Hi Guys,

I have applied for my wife and wanted to ask a small question. First of all many congrats to all applicants for the getting IP, PPR, and SHINNY VISA.

Here's my questions - I want to get information regarding the expiry of the visa. Does the Visa expire at the time the medicals were done (one year later). for e.g. When my wife receives her visa in few days (being positive thinker), then what would be visa expiry date be on the passport as she did had her medical done in March 2014. Would the visa be valid till March 2015 or one/two months after she receives the visa.

Anyone who received the visa, please advice regarding the expiry of the visa from personal experience.

Please let me know!

cheers,

dpatel

Her visa will be valid until March 2015..

Understand your frustration

Three options people can generally go for:

1. Case specific inquiry via email to CHC Delhi: But usually you get a generic reply from them which is not very helpful. It can also take 10 or more days to get a reply

2. MP Inquiry: You can go to your local MP office and there will be a secretary who deals with people's immigration issues, you can ask them to inquire on your behalf. Sometimes they can fetch you some useful info but the replies are very prompt ideally in a day or two

3. GCMS noted: Using your file and applicant details you can apply online for detailed info of ur file's current status and what the review officer thinks about ur application and if any red flags are raised or not. But it takes 30 days to get these notes.

There are several links to GCMS notes on this forum about how exactly to apply

Hope this helps and best wishes for urgent fruitful outcome of your application

Hi Guys:

If someone could help me with these questions. I am applying for my wife through spousal application.
Visa office is : New Delhi.

1) Do we have to write something at the back of the 6 pictures?
2) Is there Notarization required for the documents attached such as birth certificate, voter id card, passport pages etc. ?
3) If there is just one stamp in Hindi on the marriage certificate, everything else in English, do we need translation?

Thanks

Hello,
1) Yes, you need to mention your wife's name and date of birth at the back.
2) No, there is no need for notarization of documents, as per their instruction guide.
3) No need for translation, matter should be in English.

You should read the instruction manual thoroughly, to avoid any mistakes. Everything is mentioned in it.

All the best.

Thnx for all useful info...
But I wonder if MP inquiry should be done from India or Canada??

MP inquiry is ALWAYS done from Canada

An MP from India would have no direct access with CIC

The sponsor who resides in Canada should to their local MP office

Any updates today ???
