My husband created 1 email with 2014 issues content and he is submitting every day to MP's, Filling complaint/feedback forms on daily basis. He is doing everyday by spending 20 mints every night . No response from them other than auto generated response email. We clearly knew they cannot hold application more than 20 months, just sending it with hope.

Just now I got phone call from my own cousine. He is second marriage, sponsored his 1st wife in 2010, divorced after landing with in 1 month. Wife went back to India. He submitted his application for second wife Dec 31st, 2014. His wife got passport request email this afternoon it seems. He applied after completing 5 yrs sponsorship detain.

Funny part is no interview, no remedical request. I have no words after listening it. I think there are no norms for processing files. Totally depends on officer mindset.

I wanted to confirm if re-medical requests are received via emails or regular mail ? It looks like most of applicants do get a re-medical request.

There is no excuse why 2015 application should be given preference over 2014 applicant when everything else is equal.
Why is Feb 2015 applicant getting interview when Oct 2014 without interview and Aug 2014 with interview are still waiting in queue.

Sometimes they don't start criminality and security check until your interview is over. And sometimes they start doing it after your interview date is decided.

Also, NOT all 2015 applicant recommended for interview have gotten dates. Some of them will be waiting just like you. They will get interview date after 2014 interviews are done.

Hello Anji,

Don't stress out. May be NDVO calculation is 17 months from the day NDVO received your file from Canada. If that is the case, you will complete 17 months (Sep, 2014 to Feb 2016) if I am not wrong. Which means your interview request will come before 17 months as per NDVO and you will get your PPR by March-April.

I think personality of the officer really matters and decide our fate. Human personality play lot of role and unfortunately immigration process totally depends on officer decision. Have positive hope. They cannot hold you more than 20 months at any cost. Think that you have more time to spend with close family members in India.

I knew couple of people second marriage (one person even sponsored, then cancelled, got second marriage) got visa between 13-14 months with no interview/additional documents request. Most of the cases have interview in forum are genuine, first marriage. May be they are selected for interview due to gaps in file.

Thankyou for the inspiration. But my those 17 months ended today.(being 1st of march.)so i hope they do it now for me.i m going yo india in april with the hope and positivity that i bring my hubby with me.

Oh i wanted to ask. U mentioned they cannot hold it beyond 20 months. Is it mentioned somewhere?. I mean i never read this before. And if thats so then now the immi minister will find me in his office very soon. I live in ottawa and i m just gonna wait a little bit more and then m going to their office.
They doubt our relationship and put us in interview que. And make us wait like anything. The fact is we all are genuine couples and desperatly want to be united .otherwise why in the world wud we keep bugging them ryt.?if they doubt it, it doesnt change a big fact that we are still married and waiting almost 2 yrs to get our papers done and plan the future

i doubt on it cos Singapore high commission takes almost 24 months just to schedule an interview just be thankful we are not in that category yet

20 months is not written any where. This was mentioned by Immigration consultant in Toronto with his exp.

I hope its true. I guess there is somebody in our forum with July 2014 application who is waiting for interview/ppr. If that case is not complete by March, this 20 months thing would prove wrong. Are there anyone here more than 20 months?

As I said earlier, there are 2 categories of interview. Minor doubt and Major doubt. If they have minor doubt they schedule ur interview right away.
For example: YPRA in 2014 spreadsheet is a 15-Oct-2014 applicant with Interview done on 14-Oct-2015.

Just like that, there are applicants in 2015 who are divided in 2 categories. Some ppl already their interview dates and some haven't (they will get dates after 2014 is over?)

Ohk. So i have some update .my mp's secretary just called me. He said my husband has been scheduled for interview for april 13. Neither me nor my husband ever recieved any email from ndvo. (i check emails almost every hour ).

So basically ndvo never told us about the date and my mp's secretary is going to call them just now and ask thhem to send my husband yhe details.

Well. Evrythn set aside now. Thank god we got to know this atleast before it was too late.

Those of u who dont know. I m 31 july 2014 applicant.i am the sponser and my husband had interview recommended.

Ppl plz push ur mp's to enquire for u . i have emailed 2 mp's almost every week and now i have the info for my husband. Good luck guys. I will keep u posted with any other news.

I called my MP from the region and his secretary responded. She said she does not know much about these cases but will reply me. I send him email as well but he has not responded yet. Should i be emailing him again explaining him how the other MPs are doing?
