how long does it usually take to get the approval for visitors visa?

for spousal sponsorship, is remedical request a must now? is there any chance it'll go to DM without remedical or IP?

Hi,

If everything is ok then for visitor visa processing time is 9 days for New delhi. I am also applying online visitor visa for my wife.

I created account for her on CIC for visitor visa over there i have to upload all scan documents which are mention on that application.

Go for it. At least we have to try.

Same here. Medicals expired in August. I sent them an email in July saying meds expiring, what would you like us to do? No response. In Process since Aug 12, we'll be crossing the two months mark at the beginning of October. I'm seeing people go from IP to DM/PPR in two or three weeks, or getting a re-medical request only 2 days after IP.

We've been IP for nearly 7 weeks now. At the 5 week mark, we got a call from CIC confirming that my wife is in Canada, and the lady said your file is being put forward for review, but you might get a re-medical request. No re-medical request, no file movement, nothing. If I don't see anything this week, I might get my MP to look into it. There's an election coming up. You want my vote?! Get my wife her PR!!

I called CBSA, they said you can't do it at the airport, you have to go to the border. My wife has a US visa, so thats what we plan on doing.

If your wife is 8 months pregnant, then you might try calling CBSA at the Edmonton Airport (780 890 4300, according to the Edmonton Airport website -- or better yet, go to the airport in person and go to their front office), and explain the situation. I presume that she can't fly, and driving for 12 hours to the border and back would be difficult. It can't hurt to at least see what they say.

What is this you're saying about getting an appointment in Edmonton after 2 months? What exactly are you referring to? This is the first time I am reading that you can do your PR entry locally, I thought you had to go to a port of entry, either at the US border, or fly to the US for a holiday and do the entry when you return home.

Actually there are three ways to land; one is the usual going to the border flagpoling, two flying, driving etc in and the third going it at the offices.
The wait times are usually longer at the offices like Toronto is almost three months.

I am certain you cant land at the airport since you technically havnt to exit the country and your best bet is to do a flagpoling. How long is her COPR valid until?

AOR 1: 31st Oct, 2014 (from Mississauga)
AOR 2: 13th Nov, 2014 (from New Delhi)
In Process: 2nd July, 2015
Remedical Request: 10th July, 2015
Remedical Done & Sent: 15th July, 2015

Current Status - In Process

Is the details tab the most up to date on that sheet? For some old applications that are still in "App Received" or "In Process" have the users just not updated them yet?

I'm going to request case notes today.

Preeti I understand your situation as my wife is facing the same kind of issues about going out and having asked for questions and all but you do not have a right to point out any forum member here and insult anyone here. Each and every forum member is free to express their feelings about how they feel as everybody is suffering from the same cause. So I suggest you not to write something bad or insult any forum member here the next time you post anything in this forum otherwise if you do noone will be able to stop me in taking legal action against you. It does not matter if it is seven months or two months the point is YES NDVO is ruining our LIVES.

Yeah, I just told what's happening with me that's how relatives, neighbourhood asks me everyday that's what I had mentioned there but I didn't understand in what way I insulted you or pin pointed. Even I'm here for the same but I would definitely would like to know what made you feel that I have insulted and have pin pointed I would like to know my mistake so that the next time I won't repeat it and what made you think to take a legal action against me

I didn't insult you I just told what my neighbours and my relatives ask me I just expressed my feelings as you did but in what way it's an insult for you, you said you will take legal actions against me how rude was that, I never knew in India to express ones feelings legal actions are taken I'm not interested in continuing with this topic any more good luck with your file hope you get your visa soon.
