That's the weird thing, my file was transferred to NDVO in July, hence why it says "your application for permanent residence was received July 11, 2013"

check ecas with your client id, it will give on the sponsor approval when they received your application at missisauga and when sponsorship was approved.normally same day of sponsorship approval file is transferred to delhi. but as you applied in july you should be treated as july applicant.

Under "sponsorship application status" it says:

1. We received your application to sponsor xxxxxxxxxx xxxx on July 11, 2013.

2. We sent you a letter on August 12, 2013 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.


Under "permanent residence application status" it says:

1. We received xxxxxxxxxx xxxx's application for permanent residence on July 11, 2013.

2. Medical results have been received.

But my MP says since NDVO is saying that your file was received by them in August you are being treated as August applicant

And if I was a July applicant, would I not have heard something? Yet my MP says that my file has not even been touched yet

Nd at dis moment I really want to be with her.. Nd my e cas status still app recieved nd medical recieved .. Hw much more time will dey take .. It is depressing ? Can't wait anymore wt should I do ?

Hello, many congrats that you are gonna be father soon, at the moment they are issuing visas to July applicants and you shall be hearing from them in Mid-may, if not then please do MP inquiry for sure, best of luck and wish you speedy visa !

That's where the confusion is. I am July 11 applicant, so I should have heard something by now right? I mean, looking at the spreadsheet almost all of July is done, yet I have not received any kind of update at all. And my MP says that "they have not looked at your file yet, it is still pending initial review".

Apply for notes, it ll take 30 approx days to get, you will get an update before receiving the notes for sure, same stuff happened to Myrah7 !! She was April applicant and her MP said she is june/july applicant !! dont believe on MP's and e-cas....

I tried to find but couldn't find this info, please advise me, in a spouse sponsorship case to apply GCMS notes, a sponsor needs a consent letter from spouse or not, because while checking ecas, he uses his all information, including his own birthdate etc, I got bit confused, please let me know.

I would like to ask i have applied for my wife spousal from canada and she is in india.
Can i apply for her visitor visa so she can come here while we are waiting and when asked to give passport she can go back?

I myself got rejected twice for applying visitor visa, approval chances are very limited, you can try but getting visa is very rare for spouses, they want us to apply for PR from India only....

I personally think its stupid for them to reject visa for spouse because what is the point of rejecting when the spouse will bring more money into canada.

Yeah, its really bad, you can try for visitor visa and have to submit good proofs that you will be returning back to India, I had submitted my job letter, leave letter, LIC policies, Bank/Business transactions etc etc....I still got rejected !!
