That's good your going to meet your husband. :) ... Did your MP give you any other information or advice? In January, I met with my MP as well, to inquire about my case, the response they received back was from the head aministrative assistant there. It was a generic response, saying that they are continuing to meet their service standard of finalizing over 80% of applications within 6 months, its been over 6 months for me, and for many of the other writers on this forum, so obviously they are delayed. I know we just need to wait, but it's reallllly hard!!!

I want to do a Case Specific Inquiry to NDVO, but im nervous that they might delay opening my case even more! :(

Any tips?

Apply for GCMS notes. That's the best way.

Yeah, I was thinking about that, but that will just help me in tracking the status of my application right?

Basically, I am pregnant, and my delivery date is in June, I really want my husband to be here for the birth of our baby...but i am SO confused as to what I can do! Thats why I went to my MP, told him my situation, 2 months ago, they sent my medical information to NDVO to see if they could do anytihng, they told us that they finalize over 80% cases in 6 months... this is month # 7 for our application- and my pregnancy. ???

I applied in September, and I know that a lot of July applicants are being approved, I also understand that there are not too many files for August and September, so Im hoping it will go through soon... but then I see that there are still applicants from June or earlier still waiting- and it makes me a bit nervous..

I spoke to a consultant and they advised me to do the Case Specific Inquiry, coz it gives me a place to enter my concern, and attach doctor's note, but I dont want that to hurt my application, coz I cant afford any more delay!! :'(

I know.... a lot of information. -__- *Sorry for the essay! ^

thanks for your comment User_23.... i will surely enjoy seeing my spouse after nine months...cant wait :) :) :)

Trips to India wont affect your application. I wouldn't notify New Delhi about anything regarding the trips because it might cause un necessary confusions. I personally been to India for 10 days in November and more than a month in Feb-March. And my wife got decision made recently. Faced no issues. And I have never read anywhere about informing New Delhi about the trips... So go and enjoy your time in India and come back with your husband!!!! :) :)

Thank you soo much for sharing and your reply.. :) :) :) :). I wish you all the best with your visa :) :)

Enjoy your holidays with close one. I am not a expert member here to suggest or advise you anything but I shared whatever information I got from various sources.

I dont think they delay the process for the inquiry. Because i remember my sister did direct inquiry about her spouse's visa via email. They received PR in 4 months..they were lucky and it was back in November 2012 and received PR on April 2013.

So i even applied for GCM notes and i am planning to send an email inquiry to NDVO as well maybe end of this month...

wish you all the best and dont worry..when did you apply?

unfortunately i heard this in the forum but i have not read on CIC website. so i called MP so they said as long as you can prove that your intention is to come back to Canada then there should not be problem..like a permanent job etc..

I booked my flight and I am eagerly waiting to see my spouse...so i am just going to take a chance and go. God know what will happen now...instead of looking forward to my trip i am just nervous to see my spouse now...lol

Where in Canada are u from?

Oh I am going in June to visit to India as well. I inquired MP as well and she said as long as I can prove that my intention is to come back to Canada there should not be a problem. I have full time permanent job and my boss is willing to offer work from home so that i can come back when my husband once he gets the visa..

this is crazy how immigration is and its torture that you cant even visit spouse for how ever long u want..

Do you recommend that I should notify NDVO regarding this visit or should I wait till I hear anything from them?

Chinmayee - we dont have to inform CIC. I am infact travelling next week for my wedding anniversary:) I am not going to inform them.

Agreed. I too was in India with my wife for over 2 months from mid-Dec to Feb. I did not inform CIC or NDVO. It sounds absolutely weird that they will not allow people to even spend some time with their spouses.

Just go ahead and have a great time with your spouses. Don't let the fear of CIC's weird antics cause any more strains in our marital relationships. They already hurting a lot with the delays in the process. :-[ >:(

ohh nice.. yup i am not planning to inform them...Enjoy your trip and your anniversarry... u must be excited. :) :)

All the best with your Visa :) :) :) :)

yes they are and seems they are heartless people. People who are working at NDVO must be all singles or miserable with their married life's which is why they are toturing innocent couples like us...lol.

Yes I am going to enjoy my trip with my spouse...flight booked on June 20th...cant wait :) :)

Wish you a quick visa and all the best . thank you for the reply :) :) :) :)
