Hi.. I am september2013 applicant. Medicals done 24th August 2013. Passport received by NDVO on November 6. Can someone give me an idea on how do we get to know about the interview? Do they email us or call? And how many months exactly are the medicals valid for? Someone just told me 6 months but i am kind of confused. Please guide and also should I apply for GCMS notes now?? And what is about the consent letter that we attach while applying for GCMS notes. Thank u so much

you can find about interview in notes ('interview recommended' would be there). If you wait longer you or your lawyer (if you have appointed one) would get an email from NDVO about interview specific date. In some cases, they have called applicant to ask if that date is ok with him/her (rare calls). Medicals is valid for a year (sometimes NDVO adds few more days to one year validity). Too early to apply for notes since they would not have opened your file yet. If you order one, all you would see is 'nothing started'. Unless if you have not received your passport request, your $5 for notes fee would go to help Canadian government and not you. But if you insist, then follow the steps mentioned in Desi-girl or Myrah's post (under their signature there is a link to step by step process to ordering notes)

Citizenship Certificate for new born to Canadian Citizen Father and PR Mother in India.

I'm pregnant and looking at the timelines posted here, I might get my visa around my due date. If our baby is born in India, I believe we have to change its Indian birth certificate to a Canadian birth certificate for him him/her to enter Canada with me. I did some research and found out that the process will take around 6 months. Or is there a different way - can it get a Canadian b.c in India right after birth?
Any guidance will be much appreciated.
Regards,
CMR.

Hello and welcome to the forum, you will get an e-mail if there is interview schedule for you, medicals are valid for an year with a possibility for additional 2 months extension, applying for notes is too early for you now, you should apply for notes in mid-may or early June to know your status update, please check Myrah7 signature, it will help you how to apply for notes, consent letter signing means you are giving declaration, access and authorization to NDVO and they will generates notes to you in details regarding your current status.hopes this helps to you.

Hello, call them back and say due to some reason you have missed the call, mention your application number and they will let you know the update, may be they were calling for your DOB and address confirmation to send your passport back with visa !!! applying for notes will take 30 days to get an update, do MP inquiry now or just call them back on a same number, by the way please let us all know which number do you got call from ? thanks and best of luck !!

Hi,
