My file is in process from 7th august....can anybody pls tell me how long it takes to get to DM....
M checking my case every 30min to see if it Chng but NO...(((((

I have exactly your timeline. My passport was requested on Aug 6th. I applied on Jan 28, like u. Wow, hopefully we both in together. But my status still shows "Application Received". Do you know anything about the interview, is it been waived or you don't know. Please share and tell me about your file. thx

My suggestion is that you should apply for GCMS notes if you haven't already.
[24th july my husband applied for notes but he sent the docs at some address..now yest he applied online..
god knows when will i get the same...
m worried for i hardly find ppl who are jan applicant and pp request is pending...think i m the only one whose passport request is also not raised...rest are much better than me. so guys when u get tired think of me...bhagwanji jane kab request aayegi kab line mein lagungi and aur kab final decision hoga...humari india much better hai canada se...itni lambi strike aur govt k pet ka pani tak nahin hilta.]

I know what they didn't ask for your passport. You did not submit your medical with the application. Even though you submitted it later, I think their system probably not showing your medicals. They usually don't request for passport when medical is not completed. Check the GCMS notes and see if they received your medicals.

Thats not correct always. In my case PPR came...my medicals wasnt updated in ecas its been 7 months since medicals

I contacted my MP and she said my wife's file is "IN PROCESS", which is great. E-cas is obviously not up to date (The Visa officers do it as a formality because they are lazy, that's why they do DM right away)

She said that I should be hearing an update within 3 weeks. The update could be anything so I am hoping that it's a Visa pickup request or a courier drop-off. My fingers are crossed!

Thanks for the update primoo. We applied one month prior to u, hope even we get to hear something in two three weeks n then I can also give u guys some good news inshallah!!

nothing much. Came to Punjab to stay with my fam for a mth -- so just njoying - visiting frenz n relatives !! Hopefully this is going to b my last visit to Punjab for now. After this i ll come from Canada to visit them after a year or so -- lol
