Hi I applied for my husbands spousal visa on 7 Feb 2013 and his passport was requested in April 2013 and he sent it on 22 April 2013. I am still waiting for his passport to come back. His online status shows: Medical recieved and application recieved. Does anyone know how long it takes usually to spousal visa to process from New Delhi. Anyone knows about the imapact of strike ?

Hi Luvleen,

The strike seems to have slowed down things for all of us, but the good sign was that they dint stop. Some people moved stages, some got their visas ( most were from 2012 applicants)
As far as we've seen, after the passport is requested it takes anywhere within 6 months for 80% caases. The processing time for stage 2 for delhi is 10 months anyway.

So hold on tight....its good that the online status shows medicals recieved. Any update is good

I got an email from PAFSO few days back saying that IF the gov accepts third party arbitration, the PAFSO members will still be on 'strike' till they get their 'wage hike' BUT they will resume working as a show of good faith.
So this is good news for all of us
