if hes a citizen it doesn't matter how long he stays in india ...but if hes a pr then I don't think he shld stay more than few weeks.....this is all I have judged from all other forums....nothing is written in cic ....abt the stay limit time.

Myrah, I'm a PR. I've noticed posts talking about suggesting a few weeks. My heart yearns for a longer time, few weeks doesn't seems to make justice. If it won't affect the application, I would prefer 2 months. I'm trying to find if there is anything mentioned in CIC website, but can't find it as you have stated.

I've thought about that. Whenever I've called CIC during the initial processing of my application, I've noticed that they ask for my personal info, UCI, open my file and then answer my concerns. I haven't tried asking general questions. I'm scared for them to make a note on my application saying that the applicant asked about a long trip during the process! Do you think they might answer questions without getting personal info, such as how long I can take a break during the process?

People i think your husband/wife should be in Canada only till his/her part is done that means just till his/her sponsorship approves then he/she can visit their partner as long as they want cause that will prove their relation is genuine and go back to Canada before his/her partner has little time before their visas are issued. I can be wrong as well. Just used this logic.

Yeah that makes sense, Harshiddhi!
If we get sponsorship approval, would they look in to our files after that?
I don't think so. But I have to make sure!

My wife coming india for 2 months...she has talked to lawyer ( green & spiegel ) in toronto...it does not matter if u r citizen or PR...u can stay as long as u want...but immigration officer must be satisfied that u both will return to canada once your spouse got PR....so i think trip to India should not be longer than 2 months

Living together is good proof your relationship is genuine, so while you are there you should also continue to gather evidence about your relationship by chance if they ask u for some proof

Don't worry .. You can always call them .. They lost our file so we used to call them twice a day .. Sometimes everyday .. It doesn't matter .. Calling them is your right .. They don't put any notes .. They are there to answer your queries .. So go ahead .. It's just a call .. Nothing to think about it !!

They just want 3 confirmations 1. Marriage is genuine 2. You are you lol means u r not someone else pretending to be the one you are in passport and 3. You are not into any criminal activity so is your family... This is the whole process.

And from your partner they just want a promise that he/she take care financially till we get settled in canada and get your PR...
