so basically this is just goin to go on and on till when actually the strike will have to be called off and officers will have to get bk to work...that's awesome........imagine we guys waiting already 3 months for this strike....matter of a month now.....ppl who applied in jan its nearly 8 months for them.....these guys really don't have a heart !! neither of them will come to a mutual end....so basically this strike was frankly useless !!! and who suffered " the family class" welcome to REALITY :)

true Myrah !! They are such a heartless ppl. Earlier was hopeful that they can force them to work and this can happen in sept - but now even thats not gonna happen now wait till oct mid or so. Even thn we cant b sure whether or not they ll take any action. Now all we can do is keep waiting and praying that as many jan feb applicants got thr visaz in such a critical situation we get lucky too and get the visas by the end of sept. Really hopefull that next week again we ll get lotta updates. And this time all the reamining jan and feb; and march applicants will get lucky -- Fingers Crossed and may Waheguru bless us all and unite us with our partners forever.

Friends, I'm getting frustrated with the wait. And the only thought that is running in my mind is to make a trip to India for a visit.
I have heard nothing back from CIC since they have received my wife's passport in March.

I have applied for GCMS notes twice so far which shows Eligibility - Recommend Passed, Medical - Started, Security & Criminality - Not Started.
I'm expecting a GCMS by Sep 1st week, and another one by Sep 3rd week. I'm not gonna apply for any more GCMS, as i'm little scared it might be causing the delay. (I would still recommend to apply for GCMS after 5-6 months of your start date just to make sure everything is in order, especially if you haven't got PPR)

If I want to take a long vacation 4-8 weeks (not sure yet and still working on the plan, as we all know it's not easy to get this long time off work), do you guys think I have to do anything else before taking a break (in October)? Should I approach MP to get me an update? Will that really help? I don't want to jeopardize my application for taking a long break. At the same time, I would really like a break now and spend time with my wife. FYI, I'm a PR and not a citizen.

Has any Jan/Feb applicant taken vacation to go back during the process?
I would really appreciate some ideas.

I DONT GET IT don't they have brains ? its so simple the govt has lost so much of money coz of this ...in milllions its a lot....neither has the union got their raise......whats the pr of this Strikke? now the officers have so much backlog....so basically they both are big losers children who don't even know that none of them is goin to win....in the bargain we guys have gone thru emotional ups and downs stress .....haven't been able to start our lives ...we aren't getting any younger ....we cant start family ...we still have to find work thr...everything is delayed.....and the best part winter starts soon (thx god Canada has summer till another month or so this yr..before it really gets cold)

if hes a citizen it doesn't matter how long he stays in india ...but if hes a pr then I don't think he shld stay more than few weeks.....this is all I have judged from all other forums....nothing is written in cic ....abt the stay limit time.
