It took them 2 days to find out they also said they call in ottwa somwhere and there they have computers
Updated regularly. She also advised me (lied) that my file is still very young. Come back in 3 months and check. she denied
That strike is the reason for delays.

i guess decision made that u r seeing in ur ecas is of sponsorship approval, not the PR application status. As u r may applicant u may get the visa sometime in Sept or oct - rest depends on strike.

I don't know if it's necessary, but that is the right approach as your MP takes care of citizens of their riding (region).
It makes more sense at least

hmm ryt....

E-cas has said Decision made for 4 months? You still haven't received your visa/passport?
Ok, I have never heard of this happening before, or when i did hear of this happening the passport was mailed to the wrong address or some kind of mailing error.

You need to contact MP immediately, and inform them that your e-cas shows a decision has been made and you have not received your passport back. Also order GCMS notes at the same time.

What is your timeline? Is the Decision made on the applicant's ecas or the sponsors? We need more info so we can help you out.

Guys, I have a question can some one advise me the best approach.

I am the sponsor and I am changing address in Canada starting this September. Do I need to update my new address to CIC if yes where do I do that?

Also I am able to check the E-case status only with my UCI number but not with my wife's file or UCI number is this the same with you guys?

Please let me know

I wonder why this govt. is not concerned about the families they are only concerned about the students.. I am reading in the newspaper is only about the student visa.. nothing is about families who are suffering from this stupid strike...:(..grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Yeah, you're probably right he is seeing decision made on the sponsors site, not the applicant's.

I also moved and had to update my address, but yes you should definitely do that. I did it online through ecas. The change was reflected in about 24 hours.

I contacted my MP and she said my wife's file is "IN PROCESS", which is great. E-cas is obviously not up to date (The Visa officers do it as a formality because they are lazy, that's why they do DM right away)

She said that I should be hearing an update within 3 weeks. The update could be anything so I am hoping that it's a Visa pickup request or a courier drop-off. My fingers are crossed!
Omg that's really great ...... I m also April applicant it means ... They are working

update ??? update????? update????

Guys a May applicant from Nairobi got his visa issued yesterday...and Nairobi has a process time of 25 months....

Thats CIC for you....Go Figure! :/
