Hello,

Could someone please help me with GCMS notes. I just received mine today.
I could find following sections :
1. Eligibility - Recommend Passed
2. Security - Not started
3. Criminality - Not Started
4. Medical - Passed

I don't see any section related to background checks. Is it same as security/criminality?

Thanks

mines due for tomorrow.. anyways, this will be my second notes... in my first which I got almost a month before, first 3 were not started and only medicals was with status Passed... btw, did they mention anywhere that your interview is recommended to be waived??? For me, I didn't find any thing regarding interview in my first notes... lets see whats stored in my next GCMS notes that I may get tomorrow...

- Gupta

Under Eligibility section, the status is Recommend Passed ,
also under Notes section it is mentioned ** Interview waiver recommended** The PA and sponsor are compatible .The relationship appears to be genuine. File sent to officer for review.

Please share the progress on your file tomorrow. All the very best.

Hi All,

Is the AOR always emailed and does it make a difference if I'm living in Canada( will they mail it out)? At what point do I get a file number once the application has been mailed out?

Thanks

P.S. I just mailed out the application a few days back

95% they email this to you with other information...average time to receive them is between 2-3 weeks after they receive your file. Keep checking the cic website for the application received processing date they are working on.

GCMS notes are now ordered online using link https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en
The applicant has to fill and sign the form :http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5744E.pdf
This form needs to be attached with the request .
No need to attach fee receipt , fee would be charged at the last step of the process. Fee receipt will be sent in the confirmation email.

Hi All,
Am new to this forum and a latest applicant as well.
Truly appreciate the person who started this thread and folks who been contributing to it as well. Very nice work.

CIC Website says it was last updated on July 24 and Processing apps recieved on June 25.
I see it in here one of the threads that Mississauga office is working.
We filed our application on July 17th and it was delivered on 18th.
Still not able to track it in CIC website.. Any inputs pls?

Thanks.

Then its time for the waiting game...this strike has really messed up our timelines...but the fact that atleast your e-cas shows medicals recieved is a gud sign.
Delhi usually asks for visas early in the process n hang on for it for anywhere between 2-4 months without any updates to the applicant

So just hang in there n hope for the best n soon! :-)

Hello all,

Thanks for starting this thread. I got married on July 15, 2013 and I will be submitting the spousal sponsorship documents for my wife very soon.

I have a question regarding the name change on my wife's passport, adding my last name to hers. Shall we make this name change on her Indian passport before submitting the PR application?

The other option is to submit the application with her old passport containing her maiden name. Then change the name on her passport later, while her immigration application is in process. When she is required to submit her passport to CIC, she would submit the new passport containing her new changed name.

Can someone suggest which of these options is advisable.

Thanks in advance,

Kind Regards,
Nilay
