NEW DELHI - 2013 APPLICANTS.

Hi i am Julia. My husband is a citizen of Canada. Our marriage was on January 2013. My application was received at Mississauga on May 16,2013. They transferred my file to New Delhi on June 10. I got an email from Delhi asking me to send my passport to Delhi. I had sent my old and new passports to Delhi on July 11. They received my passports at Delhi on July 15. Now there is a news about strike of Visa officers. So please let me know approximately when can i get my visa issued? I wanna go near my husband at the earliest.

me , RD and you have similar case , just a few days difference ...we are lucky that we got our ppr, many people like myra, anisha who submiited their file before us havent got their ppr so dont be that sad....just hope that pafso ends their strike and everything runs smoothly without delays.. also like the pafso on facebook for updates from them bcoz indirectly strike is delaying all our cases

I read the 2012 forum and spreadsheet I cant figure out....we are like 6-7 ppl now on this forum who haven't got ppr........infact we all shld have got it in MAY....now its july ....technically before oct april applicants shld get visa...but if this goes the way they work then im really worried I cant afford to wait till 2014.....

I guess due to strike they are already holding lot of passports with them which are not being processed at required pace... I guess, this might be a reason for not sending passprot requests to new applicants... for them they will request at the end of the process once they are ready to issue visa... so might not be a matter to worry... this is just a guess... I suggest apply GCMS notes,.. you can get confirmation regarding PPR being sent or not... from the notes if it is clear that they have not sent PPR then should not be a big worrying factor.... because I saw many cases where PPR was sent almost at the ending stage.. just before status being changed to "Decision Made"...

Hi Julia,

GCMS stands for Global Case Management System and is the integrated and worldwide system used internally by CIC to process applications for citizenship and immigration services. When you submit a GCMS request for yourself or for someone else, you are requesting access to the information in your particular immigration case files. It's very easy and simple to submit a request for notes about your file.

A consent form is required and has to be signed by the person you are trying to access information about. Also, you need to submit it with your ID's/passport information. It costs $5.

Nope if a person is a PR in Canada and had filed application for spouse PR then he/she can visit at most for 15 days/2 weeks.

I dont think there is any such rule... once the sponsorship is approved, sponsor can be out of Canada for any number of days... there is no rule saying he / she can't leave country... I tried searching for this info in CIC but didnt find any such rule... I guess someone from the forum can get this confirmation either by calling NDVO / CIC or by consulting some reliable visa consultant who is aware of these kind of rules... unfortunately most of the visa consultants are fit for nothing... they are not aware of many things....

agreed gupta but if this was the case then how come everyone who applied after us in may/june are all getting ppr technically if they have so many pp's then after april then shldnt have requested from anyone...u can ckh trackitt also.at least 5-6 ppl got ppr...ya we all applied for notes now we have to wait till end august....but I hope we get the ppr in the end when decision is made...at least we can travel ....just pray to god all is ok and the strike Is called off.....I wake up in the morning and come on this forum excited to see good news every morning.....been 2-3 weeks no one has given any good news...just hope for the best and wait

I think u shld ask him to come for a week im sure everyone is busy but he can take out time for u......its not askin too much....love is greater than everything...and u guys will be more relaxed spendin that 1 week..its healthy for your relationship..... :-*

But applied for Multiple TRV on 2nd July which was accepted and granted visa until 2016.
Now ready and packing my bags to be with my Hubby.

ok I think im gonna try for tourist visa......but if it gets rejected then???? more chances of them to call for interview and delay my file

It's surprising to see that someone who has applied for pr is getting trv.i thinks people who have not got ppr yet should try trv.
