I have a same feeling now... I have spoken to my lawyer in Canada. They said; this is the common practice which they use in CIC, Delhi. I got too many proof together with my spouse.

Sometime they try to scare the applicant so they can't lie or panic.

I will wait for the decision now...

Hope for the best now...

Congrads..

hey guys,

its my turn to share the good news with you all. :)

I am a September applicant (File received: 3rd September) and got my visa on the 4th of June.

Would like to share the sequence of events for the benefit of others -

- Got a call from CHC on 29th May asking if I could fly before 28th of June, as that is when my medicals expire. I agreed to it.
- Got another call on the 3rd of June, this time for collection of passport
- Got the passport with the visa on the 4th, it was a quick thing, only took me 10 mins at the CHC.

I am flying to Toronto on the 22nd...3 more days to go :)

Going by the trend it appears they would issue you the visa close to when your medicals are about to expire.

Wish you all the best, just a matter of time before you all are re-united with your loved ones.

Cheers !!

Thank you!

Hello!Uttarakhand (India) has two divisions one Garhwal and the other Kumaon. So people belonging to Kumaon region are called Kumaoni and like-wise for Garhwal. In colloquial language, people of Kumaon & Garhwal are also referred to as "Pahari" :)

Sure..

Here is my timeline:

- File received - 09th Sep/13
- Medicals done on 22nd June/13
- Passport request - 11th Oct/13
- Passport sent to CHC - 23rd Nov/13
- No interview
- Visa stamped on 30th May/14

Quite a trend. Seems like some good sense prevailed for you to get the medicals done much much before your application was submitted.
Congratulations and Good Luck!!

Apparently its not worth going by imalive's experience, it directly changed from 'Application received' to 'Decision made'
But, I know I'd be still checking despite it..LOL
