My situation was same like yours.I showed myself unemployed in the form. After 2 weeks sent the copy of job offer letter and first salary cheque to CIC Mississauga.

are there two types of notes existing such as notes for sponsor and sponsored person or just one type?

In two days, either post man will be knocking on my door or jason friday the 13th guy (some one had predicted that I will be getting passport by Friday 13th)

So finally somebody is going to get the "SHINING" VISA soon
I have been here since now how many months 5 months now !!
Some things you should be aware of
VISIT CENTRE FOR EDUCATION AND TRAINING NEAR YOUR PLACE. these people help newcomers alot.
open bank account in cibc bank you will get free credit card and many other benefits.
change your resume according to Canadian workplace.
Get some reference form india like a letter or something from your co worker or any professional you know.
get a driving authentication letter(stating the driving experience (no of years) you have in india) from the transport dept.It helps here. It is important.
Always keep your landing paper safely even after 50 years. You will need it in future at some point of time.
Visit ServiceOntario ( for health card,driving G1 driving licence)

I don't know if u need all these guidelines or not but nobody was there to tell me in advance.

Went to NDVO today to collect passport + VISA. Still the E-cas status shows "In-Proccess"

could be worse..it could still be showing 'application received'

OMG (finally omg is used for different purposes other than visa) Bhatiameghna!!! How have you been? it has been ages since you wrote...hope you finally settled down and enjoying the sun (for two months)....hope Myrah is doing fine....we will know if it is jason or postman knocking on Friday. If it is jason, I will send him to the person who predicted my partner will get my visa on Friday....glad to know you are doing fine..keep in touch...thanks for the tips....

MP basically told me that file will be taken out of queue if they inquire...which some have said is true and others have said is false.

I have not requested notes.

not true...one former member applied for notes almost every month and he got his visa just like everyone else..10 months....if you don't apply for notes and waiting for official notification (few posts earlier someone remarked ecas still showing 'in process' even after getting visa) you won't know why the delay or interview has been ordered or not

having an employment is not a requirement for sponsoring someone.....as for showing salary amount for new job just put it as 2014 - 2015...with a note saying total for the year will be $xxxxxx (multiply monthly salary with 12 months..you are predicting the total and they accept it)

I'm in process. Has there been any 2013 applicants getting interview after in process and re-medical request?

in this forum (not sure about outside this forum), once you get into 'in process' chances of getting interview calls are very slim....and remedicals request makes it more rare...

33 days from day of applying the notes but no reply yet.........

unless they have increased the time frame of receiving notes (it was 30 days ..and all the four notes that I had applied came within 30 days), you should get it in a couple of days

well I read w2e's struggle...this kind of carelessness on the part of NDVO is unforgiving but there is no choice....also guys, I am told to refrain sending them e-mails again and again otherwise they get annoyed....e-mailing them only when some docs have to be sent or some extremely pertinent enquiry....we know they are humans as well and they have lot of pressure if anything goes wrong with their background checking and stuff....but at the same time what sucks is their non-uniformity and lack of details....
RK SANDHU, its unfair what they r doing to u....But don't trust these MPs....Also I am told if you have a child born during process, and both the principal applicant and child are in India, they take time..i don't know how far such kind of things are true...actually, no one knows abt visa process, ppl keep on predicting....but stay hopeful dear, next week NDVO has all for RK sandhu....tc

bhatiameghna, thank you for all the suggestion s...can u pls tell what is the scope of teachers in Ontario...what r the courses to be takne...if u know any teachers there can you pls pls let me know how to go ahead
