Have you sent passport yet? If not they may send you another email for PPR later. You can apply for gcms notes in few months so you will find out if interview is required or not. You can do an MP enquiry if you havent heard any update from NDVO after 8 months. MP will email to NDVO about your file and will get a message from NDVO within two weeks. Mostly MP gives a generic message so you have to wait for a bit longer until you hear an update from NDVO. All the best for your processing.

SN0206, Thank you for your helpful reply. I didn't send my wife's passport because the letter was not asking for it, but someone told me to send because he/she sent his/her passport after receiving the same letter. So, now I am not sure what to do? Maybe for afghans it will take longer to ask their passport because it takes them longer (about 6 or more months) to issue visa, but not longer in the whole process. E-cas does not mention anything about the processing date.It just says that application received and after that there is a line which mentions that a decision has been made and the visa office will contact you ( i have already received the Passport though )
and ya, we are not flying together....1 day is a too short notice for everything ....but i am ok with it

Peeps, when ur status says Decision Made , that typically means they HAVE pasted ur visa in your PASSPORT and it's just sitting waiting to be mailed , seems to take as others have said between 1-12days to recieve it by mail " Indian Post" also for example my hubby's status went to IP February 14,2014 and Decision Made on February 22,2014. Another member here also had the DM on the same date as my hubby's and she lived just outside Delhi , on the day she received her PP back , my hubby did not recieve his ( he was in MAH) so I told him to the post office in his city ! They had his passport and had he NOT checked there he wouldn't have been able to receive it for another 3-4days!!

2. validity date...due date generally means the next time they will review again...

yes in this case; if it is background check or something else that requires paperwork and if the due date is, say, May 9, 2014 and they get all the paperwork before that they will open the file before May 9th..otherwise wait until May 9, 2014 and if they have not received it by that date they will issue another due date...
