For GCMS notes you have to prove thm u r citizen or PR holder or currently living in canada...

It depends from case to case .. I have seen cases where visa was granted in a month after passport request in 2012 .. Some were granted within a month to two months .. Three months ..
Just hope for best ..

Go on this site below u will get all info on how to apply... U have to submit consent letter on behalf of ur wife and as u r PR holder only u can ask for GCMS notes on behalf of ur wife... I think they charge 5 cad for it...

Trend with NDVO in 2013 seems to be asking for ppt for all applicants at very early stage.

Not a single applicant from 2013 have been issued visa

Administrator for spreadsheet, pls check for formula for column of No of days since PPR received. Number of days are not matching with actual date of PPR

I sent my Passport over two weeks ago still i haven't received any acknowledgement of receipt of my passport from Canada HC.
Even my ecas just shows Medical received no update on my passport.

I wrote several emails but to no avail. Please let me know what to do in this case.

Hello Ankur,

No one receives an acknowledgement of receipt for the passport..you can only check with your courier company to see if they have delivered ur passport...
CHC will not respond to ur mail for this....

Why NDVO is asking for passports too early and not issuing visa on time. They are slow in upadting online status too.

Date of Application : 14 Feb. 2013
Date of Approval : 14 March 2013
Date of PPR : 14 April 2013
Date of Visa: Waitinggggggggg

Does you case have any uniqueness? Like lots of travel history, second marriage, Not enough proof for relationship?
8 Months is very long for them to hold your passport

Hello Everybody,
I just wanna share my experience with all of you.
CIC is sending only emails to me and my husband. They sent me an email when they approve me as sponsor, when they transferred file to New Delhi and when they requested passport from my husband (email to my husband). Somehow, all their emails are going to spam folder.
So, please keep checking your spam or junk folders also.
