Congrats ..in few days your wife status will change to DM,address change is the indication of this

We are in the same boat. MY passport is with them since March 11,2013.

Its been almost 3 months now. Really hoping to hear good news before summer starts here in TORONTO. 8) 8) 8)

travel history considered if you stay in place for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18 in last 10 years. 3 months of PP submission is usual . few lucky people got PP request on the last stage.

But, I heard that NDVO office can keep our passports for only 120 days. After that they do have to return it back. Is it true???

That is not true. NDVO has my passport for 7 months now. 210 days.

Nope. In fact GCMS notes stated that in December 2012, I passed Eligibility and the VO had written that he/she is satisfied that the marriage is genuine.

Til March they had not started my Criminality and Security even though they told the MP that background check was in progress.

Since they asked for PCC and passport hopefully the VO is leaning towards a positive decision. Send the passport and PCC ASAP and hope for the best! All the best!

I have a ques..
I had love marriage.. My parents were not present at the wedding. With the help of other relatives, the wedding happened with full ceremony and more than 200 people attended. But due to internal politics my parents didnt wanted to be present at my wedding.

I submitted more than 200 pics of wedding/honeymoon/outings, all the proof of communication since past 3 years but I did not submit the any proof of my communication with my parents/siblings where they had all comments against my relationship... Is this sort of evidence necessary?


Do you think I should send them referencing my file number?

Hi , I'm actually in the same situation, my husband parents or my parents did not attend our wedding. I did send proof of emails I had with my mother abt her not approving of our marriage. I sent it along because I had mention in my file abt our families not approving. My husband did accept it after we got married. What we did was get a letter from the court in India, stating that his parents didn't approve for whatever reason, but now they have accepted us. Our issue was that I'm 5 and half years older then my husband. I'm still worried if our age can be a reason for refusal

Hi, I applied in NOV 2012, my file was transfer to NDVO on dec 04, I can't seem to check my application staus online. Does anyone else have that problem also? My husband has already got his PPR on feb 25,2013, it was rec. on March 05. And is still with them.

Another detail I would like to add in my case, is that my husband and I, did a very small wedding and party, without our parents, reason being, they were againist our marriage, I ran away from home in Aug2012 to marry my husband, I sent in a lot of proof showing our parents were not fond of us getting married. I sent emails from my mom and text msgs from her showing she disapproved. I was wondering, Do u guys think this would cause a delay in getting his passport back? Our wedding only had abt 15 people. His sis, bro-in-laws, cousins and friends attend our wedding, I mailed them abt 100 pics from before our wedding when we met and fell in love and after we got married. Has anyone ever go thru this, or heard abt a case where the parents didnt approve?

No I have yet Heard of this scenario but my heart goes out to you I wish that everything goes well. I think you have to keep in mind everybody's situation is going to be very unique. For example my relationship with my husband is that we were married in November 2012 and I am nine years older than him I am sponsoring him. I too am wondering if I sent to prove the relationship is genuine. I wish us all luck The cases are reviewed by people in New Delhi who are wise and understand every relationship is going to be unique.

Yeah, what's up Reeyan? I'm just a week behind you. They've been holding my PP since march 21. I don't know who gives them rights to hold passports for so long. They should finish their $hit before asking for a PP.

I agree with you...
Seems like bunch of dumb ass people are working in NDVO. Sorry, for my language.. But, it pisses me off keeping our passports for such a long time doesn't make sense at all.
