Hey muksi ,angel and everyone...
After reading glass posts I am really worried abt my case. Can they refuse my case too as the vo clearly said to me that he is approving my case and would issue me visa soon after I submit new medical and pcc as the previous ones had already been expired. I did submit new documents on march 12 2013 bt no update since then. I am really worried now. Please help.

Hey! Don't worry! If the VO said that he will approve it then he will! See, even after a mail package reaches NDVO it may take up to two weeks to reach the VO! After that the VO would have to cross check the documents that you sent it. so don't worry okay? Just give it some time and pray hard

Hi Zenn,,, I read in most of the other memeber's cases and in thier time line that they have recevied either Passport request OR PCC req or medical req (if expires) , in my case -- my file reached to new delhi office on 5th oct, 2012 and have not received any communication whatsoever.... now i am seriously worried and that too I readh one memeber's ("Glaas") recent post that they got rejection.....

Try sending them a case specific enquiry regarding the status of your application. If nothing else, you will atleast be reminding the VO that your file exists...
PPRs are now being sent out much later by the NDVO... Which I reckon is a good thing.... I think it's ridiculous that they keep our PPs for so long!

I've stopped checking ECAS. Was busy with husband being here, so was not on the foum either.

Now there's talk of this fiscal year quota, CIC trying to process files within 6 months etc. I really don't know what to think. My medicals are expiring 2nd week of May, initially I thought that would mean I'd get my DM before that, but after reading about people getting requests for remedical etc, I don't have any concrete thoughts about that.

Hope those of us who applied in 2012 get out DMs, PPs and can start packing our bags in the coming weeks.

Just be patient If by 1st May you do not get a DM on eCAS or your PP back send NDVO a case specific enquiry requesting for the document to re-do your medical... That way, there wont be any delay caused as a result of your medical expiring

Try sending them a case specific enquiry regarding the status of your application. If nothing else, you will atleast be reminding the VO that your file exists...

I have tried sending case specific queries to NDVO , did couple of times, also fax the query, no reply to any of those.... dont know what to do... now after reading couple of memebers rejection decision... I am really worreid...

I m just so frustrated. My medicals are expiring in 3 weeks. As per my gcms notes, there is no hold up. I seemd to have cleared all bc checks etc. i have emailed ndvo several times. We even sent one fax. My wife even wrote to the MP, but no reply. Cic is really trying our patience. Atleast respond once and give us an update. Its really unfair if they ask us to redo the medicals again and wait, esp if there is no real reason for it. Ndvo is so inaccessible. They dont entertain your queries anywhere, fax or email or phone, its the worst vo ever!

whts the validity of medical, in my case, my wife's medical was doen in the fist week of august . 2012? is it one year or six months?

What our MP told us that they may also extend the medical by 6 months. But it seems that is up to the VO, given that people have been asked to do medicals and I remember a few cases where NDVO called the applicant and asked if they could land before medical expiry. Or they will ask you to do medical again.

Doesn't seem like there is any fixed rule as such.

I suggest all of us just be positive and try not compare our cases as far as possible. There is no rule, no formula that we can come up with. You could have applied in June and be waiting while those who applied in Septmeber are landing in Canada. Every case is different, every VO is different. Only NDVO knows how and why they work this way.

Medical validity is one year.

I am willing to land even a day before they expire. Ya i have heard of cases where they might extend medicals expiry or ask us to land before it expires. Oh well, justhave to wait it out i guess

Hang in there! & I recommend you stop contacting them continuously.. It will just annoy them and then God knows how they'll react...
Did your GCMC notes indicate that EVERYTHING was complete?

Also, They do try to make the medical deadline... So be ready to leave if they send you your PP... cause as far as I know, you must land before your medical expires

Regarding the medical, do not bank on the extension... it's rather unlikely... Though it does depend on luck...
If your medical is due to expire soon, be prepared to leave soon if you get your PP

Hmm so...

According to the above link, apparently if your visa issuance is being delayed only due to a close medical expiry and no other reason, then medicals would be extended by the visa officer.

Ya zenn, i understand what you are saying. As per the notes, everything was complete. The last note by the officer said, relationship genuine. plz ask applicant to submit pp for visa issuance as soon as bc check is clear and a note was made couple days later saying back ground check is clear and complete. However, we received no request from them after this. And this note was made in oct.

Ya i know they try to make the deadline. I am prepared to fly as soon as i hear from nd to come submit pp for visa issuance
