The visa they are talking about is your Canadian PR visa on your passport. Maybe the barcode on your visa is invalid or something. Don't worry. Just send the PP and COPR back to them asap and you should get your PP back soon as well.

It will depend on what they mean by invalid. So at this point you can only guess. Search for some specimen of PR visa stamp online and compare it with yours. I have not seen one myself specifically. Also maybe try posting this as a separate discussion thread so that other members from other countries can help.

Check out this site (www.passportindia.gov.in/). This is the govt's site for online submission of passport applications, be it fresh or re-issue. Go for tatkaal mode. No documents are required other than your original passport & its photocopy for showing & submission at the office. it"ll be really fast for u.

One of my office colleagues had got it done in tatkaal who's passport was expiring & he got it in 4 days.

My time line is near your guys. U both should expect PPR in this week or next week. My application was filed on September 13th/2012 and received PPR last week.

I am really expecting to hear something from ndvo now.... its high time..... so difficult to spend days with such uncertainity!!

That is the question all of us on the forum are asking ourselves! Some of us for half a year! Anyway, like you said it's an indefinite process.

Really cannot say for sure when your DM will happen, it could be today or it could be a few months from now. What has really helped me is this forum. Initially I read what senior members were posting and as I started getting more experience, I started helping others out too.

Even I quit my job in anticipation of a quick DM. But realised very recently that it was a bad move. Anyway, there are lots of courses you can do online or in your city. Try that, keep yourself busy and your mind occupied.

So just pray and 'try' to be patient.

It's all depends on which VO your file goes to.. Some are slower than others... Don't worry just yet...
Also keep in mind that the recent trend is that they are sending out the PPR along the same time as the application is going "in process".. Which is actually a good thing for you guys... So don't worry

I understand your worry nabagataa. Don't worry about your PPR. Since we're at the mercy of NDVO, a PPR is not actually good news. It's the start of a very stressful ending period that is stretched out indefinitely. I would suggest, you try going on a trip or if you need to travel for work, go do that now.

This is because once your PP is with NDVO, you might as well have sent it into a black hole! You wont be able to travel out of the country. Once you get your PPR you have 60 days to submit the PP to them (I've read this somewhere on the forum). Or you can request them to send you a PPR when they are ready to issue visa if your work requires you to travel outside India.

Don't make the same mistake I made. I was ecstatic when I got my PPR. I thought 'YESSSSS! I'm done!'

Now, NDVO could have changed their style because a lot of people seemed to have complained about NDVO kidnapping their passports but you never know. Just want to give you the true picture.

Enjoy your time. It's only gonna be over when you land in Canada.

Interview scheduled for 11th feb 2013 then out of the blue at 11th hour ndvo called and cancelled my interview stating we will get back to you on this,no timeline was given.

my medicals will expire on 18th april I am worried now my pp will expire in july.

Do you guys have any idea what is next?

pls advice me as patience are running out in here. This entire procedure has teared my family apart. I cannot take this agony and pain anymore.

Hey! Oh this must be hard for you! Hang in there buddy!
See they may have cancelled your interview because they might have not needed to conduct it or because the VO must have had some last minute personal problem...

Check out what the VO indicated to your wife at the end of the telephonic interview...

There is time for April.. Don't stress about that just yet...'

WRT your passport, it os OK to have a valid visa on your expired passport... You can get a new passport in tatkal and then you can travel on the new passport wiz the valid visa on the old one....

You're not the only one whose e-CAS is dead... no one has really got any updates on the website... Hopefully it will kick in soon...

I completely understand what u must be going through. i feel u need not worry much because it is evident that ur file is under review by the visa officers. cancelling ur interview could actually be a positive sign. this may mean that on further review of ur papers they might have got satisfied with issues that were earlier concerning them & so they dropped off the interview and settled the matter with a telephonic interview with ur wife. also, its just been 5-6 days that they talked with ur wife. They might now be at the end of their process. so keep ur patience...... feel positive.... as u must be going towards the end of this long process. just some more time..... i think ur case wont roll down to april that u need to worry for the medicals & passport. however, unfortunately if it so happens, then u would be asked for a re-medical. And for the passport, wait to see how the situation turns up, if need be, u can always renew it in a very short span of time.

so, dont worry things are moving towards a positive outcome!!

Thank you maplegal86, muksi, and angel.forever for guiding and replying to my post. I have sent all that they requested (PP and COPR), I just hope that they do the correction as soon as possible like they said on phone call.

.I am just waiting for my medical appointment which is next week. I can't expect any update from cic until I submit my new pcc and medical.
I don't understand that why did the vo ask for new pcc? I haven't seen anybody experiencing this same thing on this forum. Generally they ask for new medical(which is also just x ray) bt not pcc.
Anyways we can't question them.
U know what my husband didn't forward the recipt to mississauga after paying RPRF only. After the interview vo told me that ur husband needs to pay it. I said he did pay it. He said ur husband needs to forward it then to mississauga. Also he asked me to submit one photocopy to nd while I mail my new medical and pcc. What do u think that this recipt might delat my case??how long does the mississauga office take to update the recipt of RPRF??
Any news for u after gcms notes?? Medical redo request??

Hey addicted123... I can't even imagine how hard this must be for you!

If you have stayed in the country for more than 6 months since your last PCC they might ask you for the new one.. It's basically at the discretion of the VO..
