Looks like from the cases that CHC is working on applications who submitted passports in September. Also they have started October ones now too....from few cases here. we are slowly getting there.....guys!

Hi All,
I was observing waht's happing to all for the last few months and have not posted anything.
I guess the NDVO finally started working on the peoples file around my time.
Now every time when i check the status and it says APPLICATION RECEIVED I feel really bad hope they start review my file very soon.
As many people around my time line are IN PROCESS situvation.
I have one question to ask for checking the status,
when I check status with my details and and the UCI code it sats DM for the sponsership application and APPLICATION RECEIVED for my wife PR.
But I am not able to check the status using my file number.
If I use my file number should I be using my sur name and DOB or my wifes surname and DOB, kindly advise.

@ roach.... old file number is used with sponsor details and new one is used with applicant details.
I.e old file number is the one that you got when you got your immigration.new one is for your spouse.

no its not clear what you are saying. When I submitted my sponsership application, I received a file number, the same file number is used when my wife got her PPR.
other than this we dont have any other numbers. where should I check to see if we have another number.
However if we use my wifes UCI code and check the status, it still shows APPLICATION RECEIVED and the India mailing address still disappointed.

with the application file no u have to give the applicants details to check th status.

We got our PPR to my wifes mail id on 25th Sep, this got missed and we noticed only at the begining of Nov, and then we submitted her passport on 6th Nov only, is this a problem for our file not going into Inprocess?

I dont think that would be the reason. No one really knows how NDVO works. There were few who got DM's directly from Application received.

Wish You good luck in ur process. Hope u may hear soon from NDVO in the same way.

Our Timeline is:

Appl. Filed: 9th July 2012
File Transferred: 14th September 2012
Passport Requested: 22nd Sept.
Passport Submitted: 11th October
In Process: 23rd Jan.
Address Changed: 26th Jan.

When we login to eCas using my husband's UCI...we see both his canadian home address and my Indian mailing address.

I didn't bother to check ecas for 3 days and came to know the site wasn't working!

Energy saved!

I think I will go visit another state (in India ofcourse) to kill time! South India perhaps....

I am so Relieved to see other people rowing the same boat as me and my husband. I am sick and tired of the ecas showing the same old status for over 4 months now. I went to visit my husband this month and took a chance of going to CHC New Delhi personally, yeah not so helpful. I was wondering if anyone knew how it would help if I went to talk to our local MP about all this? But all in all I hope and pray that we all hear some good news this week as I want to be with my husband for Valentines
