we had spoken to our MP somewhere around mid december. We were informed that our file is in initial review (which is ridiculous...considering my timeline). They told us to call again mid jan. Our MP is going to do that. My worry is, I dont want a reply like it will be dobe in two weeks or twoo months...or anything weirder...I just want to be with my husband..

(our MP office person is not known to use more words than 'yes' 'no' or 'initial review' so its very difficult to speak to him.)

Hey saag2012, I saw the post of NSSB in canadadesi charcha and seeing to that I can assume that there might be some quotas going on for Permanent Residence aswel and as viewing to the post from 2nd January 2013 many are getting Inprocess and also DM's hope this month will be lots of updates in our ecas.

That is outrageous! If it is true that they have a quota for spouse PRs then that is a violation! So now CIC decides (randomly) which couples deserve to be together fast and which don't?

I feel like writing to the Immigration Minister to inform him about the experiences of the people going through this process. He should know what the system he is in charge of is doing to the very people who plan to immigrate and contribute to the Canadian economy and social fabric.

So upset with this. I was consoling myself thinking that there is no quota for spouses, but now I have absolutely no clue what the reality is. The fact that all this is out of my control is outrageous.

Yeah Maplegal86, as someone were saying previously in this forum that there will be no quotas for PR except TRV and skilled workers but its surprising to hear this about the information of PR quotas.
