Hello all,

Medicals were done on 2 August, 2012
Application sent to CIC on 11 August, 2012
Application received by CIC on 14 August, 2012
AOR on 18 September, 2012
Approval on 10 October, 2012

How long will it take to get the PPR? And how is it usually sent? Email or by regular mail? Please let me know how you guys got it so my wife knows what to expect.

Thankz .. i been to post shop ( post office ).. i said to postman to check if there is any courier for me .. he checked it and told me its there .. but u have to wait for two hours .. then i showed him two notes of one hundred .. got in two minutes .. trend in our new india ..

visa is just normal without photo and got issued date and expiry date which is when will my medical going to expire .... i find nothing shinny in it as people said b4 ... lol

Did you receive any notification from CIC/ NDVO / POst office ?

just a experience from this forum when an applicant get add canadian home address on the ecas .. it means dat they approved the file .. dont have bother abt in process ... its still showing in process ..lol but m sure this happen only in india ...haaa .. so just been to post offie for some withdrawal and asked about my courier .. and got it b4 they delivered @home ..

We went too many places more than 4 places but anyways my hubby was in UK for last two years on a work visa and he is not really unemployed he has his farming agricultural land that he takes care of...We were in touch for 10 months before we got married with proofs he was in UK at that time....I work a government job and i work double the time to get days off...you can do it only if your work permits and mine does so taking time off is not a big problem for me.....If your wife is a canadian citizen she can come to india while processing ....that should not be a problem....Spousal visa has nothing to do with unemployment....The purpose of interview is attendance of the guests we had 500 people in the wedding but the problem is the resort where the wedding took place was huge...like really huge.....it was winter in india when i got married if you know being in INdia no body sits in the hall all the guests tries to be out in sun and enjoy all the stalls outside.....but ND officers wants us to show them all the guest attendance.....so thats why they called for an interview...they mentioned rest everything is fine....i have 7 DVDS of my wedding and 4 photo albums taking them all with me to satisfy them...i am not too concerned about it .....i know my relation is very geniuine but they are idiots........

From the last posts, almost everyone has got decision made or visa in 7-12 days after telephonic interview but in my case nothing is moving, stucked at in process.. Stress on every part..

Hi all,

Just want to know once the file is transferred to NDVo, how long does it normally take before they update "medicals have been received" in ECAS. It has still not been updated for me whereas I know another person who got approved the same day as my application, who got the medical received update on Friday itself.

Also, when the medicals were done, they requested us to bring a CD of the photograph in addition to actual photos itself but the examining doctor forgot to take the cd from us. Just worried if they forgot to send our medical results due to this.

Should I contact CIC call centre and verify if they have received medicals, or should I wait for some more days?
