I was re reading my application and came across this question in the applicant's form:
Have you, or if you are the principal applicant, any of your family members listed in your application for permanent residence in Canada, ever:

6)been refused status, an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de selection du Quebec(CSQ) or application to the Provincial Nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country?

Does this question also imply student visa? I was refused student visa to US early on, so now I am wondering if this is going to affect my application in any way as I answered no to this question. :S

please help.

I think you need to contact cic ASAP as it clearly states temporary resident visa for Canada or any other country. Don't forget to get visa to Canada, they will need your passport where they can easily see a refusal to US and worst case scenario they can reject your application based on false information. Call cic ASAP and rectify this mistake voluntarily so it doesn't impact ur application in negative way. That's my 2 cents on this issues

Temporary resident visa is student visa or work visa with a defined end date meaning u will be a temporary resident in the visiting country for time period specified.

PPR: JULY 23
PP received by ND: JULY 25
DM: SEPTEMBER 7
VISA stamped: SEPT 7 (Assuming)
Received PP: In Transit ..Assuming

I got my wife DM on 7th September 2012 - Applied on 21st March 2012

Does anyone know how long it takes to reach the passport from New Delhi because my wife lives in Hyderabad Andhra Pradesh ?
Today will be almost 11 working days excluding the weekends..
Is there any way I can get the Register mail tracking number from ND
.... Does anyone has similar CASE.

But I am just concerned about the PCC as I sent the PCC with the passport request. I don't know why they are asking it again and then 10 mins later confirming that they have it. I don't have another copy of PCC either. Praying to God that everything works out fine :-[

To my understanding you dont have send them a PCC as they have again sent a new email to you that they have yur PCC....

hi..I have a question..i am sponsering my husband from india and i am in canada right now.we sent our application package to cic in may and got approved in july and delhi visa office already asked for my husbands passport. now on there website it says case IN PRROCESS and they received medical. but there is question in my mind. when i filed the appllication package in may after some days i went back to india to visit him. and then i came back after 3 and half months. could it be a problem that i was in india? i am a permanent residence in canada? and they did not ask for the residing proof after we filed the application.

Thanks for your advice. I composed this message to send to CIC ND. Please let me know if you this is enough or you have any other faster suggestions. Also should i fill out the IMM5669 again and attach it and send?

This is in reference to my application form no. IMM5669 Schedule A/ Background Declaration: On page 1 it says,

d) Been refused refugee status, an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de selection du Quebec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial Nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country?
I have answered the above question as No.
However, I was re-reading the application and I may have misunderstood this question. I was refused a student visa for US in November, 2007. This question did not ask about any student visa. That is why I answered no. However, I realized that student visa comes under temporary resident visa, so my answer should be yes. Please make this change in my application while processing. I do not want to be misrepresenting in any way and I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
I was applying for student visa to do my masters from US in 2007. After I got rejected, I continued my further studies in masters in technology from Hyderabad where I completed it in 2009.
