My guess is that they update the canada address only after issuing the visa.

I hope that everyone gets their PP back with visa ASAP.

I also have a questions from people who got visa already !!!!!!

What do you expect when you land in Canada???? I mean do they ask you any questions etc??? Do i need to do anything or prepare before i fly?????

Is it worth getting GCMS notes ? Our application was filed on May 22, File transfered on July 19 Passport requested on Aug 10th, not sure if i should wait or request the GCMS notes.

Is there any update in ur ecas .. i think tgey are completing april applicants and then will come to may applicants.. is ur case straight forward or do u ve any travel history .. i think u can wait till may applicants start getting their visa

I have a question guys,


As we did not get my wife's last name changed on her passport because we did not want to delay the whole process of applying, but we want her last name changed after she lands here.
I understand that Immigration will just send the PR card with the information they collect from passport and immigration documents at the time of landing so what is the process of changing her last name on her PR card and to have changed last name on all her IDs and canadian issued documents thereafter?
I just want to get it right the first time not going back to everyone after couple months to get her last name changed. Please share your experience and suggesstions.

Subaru I think if u have your marriage certificate with u then your wife can ask the immigration officer to change her last name when she will arrive at Canadian airport. I think they can acknowledge that marriage certificate as a proof and Send it to the PR card office along with your application to issue the PR card with current last name. Give it a try and i think it will work. Also Do that for SIN Number and all other IDs as well because this is the only proof.

No updates on address or status, case is staright forward first marriage, wife doesn't have any travel history. But her study permit was rejected in 2007 we did include that in the application not sure if they are doing background check on that. Can't wait until they start on the May applicants.....

Congratulations who got their Visas...........Have a great life ahead !!!

I have a question about the package they send back with Visa and COPR.
Is there anything else they send back with above like our original pics, Wedding invitation etc... which is generally sent to them initially ?

Also, who have already landed as spouse in Canada, what is the process at the airport when you land, is it the same as landing on FSW ? or any different ? types of questions asked etc.....
