In addition, you may want to check how it's done in your city.

I applied from mine from my country of residence so I went through the Indian Consulate. Which city are you in? Maybe someone else on this forum from your city may be able to help.

Omg we received an interview letter today as well. For January 2013

Dear Kcanada & Patientlywaiting even I got the interview letter today for January..... i guess now with new rules they r making interview a mandate... neways what are you guys preps for interview... do we need to bring all the relationship proofs submitted before again with us... dear experienced people who have appeared for the interview kindly share your views n suggestions

my wife got an email to attend interview on 16 jan 2012, its first marriage for both of us, we both indians but intercaste, its love marriage, lucklly also got my GCMS notes today, it says in the conclusion the couple appears happy and genuine, as our wedding was traditional but very small and was attended my family members and close friends as my wife uncle and aunty passed away so did not have big celebration and it was also registered the same week in mumbai municipal corporation may be thats the reason for interview as in the notes it says evidences before marriage and after marriage looks geniuine, they also told me the sponsor to be near the phone during my wife interview in new delhi they possibly might call me on phone........i am a bit worried hope everything goes well ...........pray for us.........

Hi rsmeet even we got an interview letter today.... our case is also similar with a small wedding function with only very close relatives... i guess thats the reason they need more clarification... ours is also the first marriage n straightforward case.. wish u luck n r u guys bringing more proofs to proove the genuinity of the relationship coz i am sure like us you also must have submitted the proofs earlier..

why they call it convocation? its interview on 8 january.

can others share their experience as to what general questions they ask in the interview? like many I use prepaid calling cards, how to proove that as a proof of communication?? Please advice..

Hi doc amar,, even we got the same mail... dunno why they say convocation... however do we need to produce all the proofs to prove the genuinity of our relationship as we already submitted the whole file... also cud u get in touch with people from the forum who have already experienced the interview with ND VO??

Hi brar.arsh n capri my ecas status is still application recd n medicals recd... i dont think its sad brar.arsh as am relieved atleast we heard something from ndvo after a long wait of 3months since ppr... however little curious as ours is a first marriage n a straightforward case.

Ya true its better than just waiting to atleast see some progress on your file . But what is odd is that they went through your file being a july applicant and no news for june applications. Either they cleared june files or they just don't go in any order !!!!

Dear Ajaymedical.... dont worry... what i believe is that according to new rules coming in effect most applicants will have to appear for interviews coz lately many applicants got interviews scheduled for january which wasnt a normal procedure earlier... btw whats ur timeline??
